Being unfamiliar with Mr. Corsi, I looked him up, but I could find only little about family. Married in 1970 he was divorced at some point, children are never mentioned. So he might not have lived up to his biblical duties as the Foundling Fathers instructed him to. That would make you think that life is one big conspiracy, wouldn't it.

Hillary will hold her cards to her chest as closely as possible until she has perfect 20-20 hindsight. Then she can chose to be either dove or hawk. The past few years have disappointingly shown that you can start out appearing to be a dove, get some hawk-practice under your wings with drones en then kill the dove when the time is ripe.

Good article from Salon.com, but quite scary. If they are right we've seen nothing yet and the middle class is going to be suckered into defending them. Somehow this American dream that anyone can make it rich is blinding the wannabes to the fact that the taxation-gap between the 1% and themselves is billions, not millions.

I will not understand why anyone ever pays attention to Jerome Corsi. I realize that because nothing said about the president or Democrats is too low or vile he is the darling of the tea party. The strange thing is that some are so desperate they believe every word that comes from that disturbed and sick imagination.

I hope you are feeling better TC and hope to see ya back soon.

Earlier today I happened across a Huff Post article about the Tea Party apparently the Koch brothers had tried forming the TP (I do like those initials!) earlier but it hadn't taken off so they tried again -

http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/kevin-grandia/new-academic-research-fin_b_2663001.html

According to them, the Koch brothers tried starting it in 2002 so they had been at it for a long time before it burst on the world in approx 2009.

It used to be that such thoughts (and research) were the preserve of wild eyed conspiracy theorists but we have learned such a lot in the last few years that I believe the Huff Post article.

The Koch brothers started 'Citizens for a Sound Economy' in 1984 which said lower taxes on the rich (oh yeah, really 'sound' economics there!) and they tried starting the Tea Party in 2002. [ I genuinely have to keep deleting typos almost every time I type their name - apparently others have the same problem! I hope none get through.] We wondered how GW got in in 2000 perhaps now we know they seem to have been at it for a long time!

Sorry you have such a busy week in such heat TC and that your neighbour is being such a pain in the proverbial to you!

Sorry for such a terrible night sleep. I'm sure you'll be super happy when you can make a move out.

I wonder if the Tea Partiers have some kind of secret contest - to see who can say the stupidest things and get away with it?
Don't you just love the names these guys come up with? "Citizens for a Sound Economy"... sounds good. But, of course, what it really should be is "the Poor Stay Poor and the Rich Get Rich".

....while not trying to be too serious, I am wondering, based on some news that Russia has suggested international community taking control of Syria's chemical weapons and the US "considering this", might Mr. Obama still have been and be playing chess while the rest of us are playing checkers????????

still hoping No War.....don't really care what Hillary says, but still trust them much more than I ever did the intel on Iraq....although I still feel a little bad for Mr. Powell.....

Puzzle 4:40 I am definitely out in the 'wild blue yonder' and not flying in formation!

Daily Kos Corsi's pot is cracked! I love the fact that pseudo Christians like to attribute so much to the founding fathers, yet they are most definitely spinning in their graves at these nutty attributions!

MSNBC I guess to be a successful politician, one must be a master of the double speak, or get roasted alive!

Salon.com "Comfort the disturbed, and disturb the comfortable." seems appropriate here to remind us that wealthy and their lackeys, the Republicanus/Teabaggers need to be disturbed.

I'm rushing off to the airport to pick up my brother, so if I have time later, I may comment more.

Cartoon The 2nd Continental Congress participants are probably rolling in their graves at all the secessionist talk from some quarters, and the general lack of cohesion amongst these 'united states'.

True Lynn and how many times must we read just how deeply religious those men were. If these people (Right wing, crazy Christians) could crack a history book with the same alacrity they crack racist comments, they might learn a few things.

Everything short of my grannie's biscuit recipe has been attributed to early founding fathers. Most of them had families that ran like rabbits from the religiosity of New England and wanted that put in can and corked.

Interesting... so many are so blind to the class war going on in this country. Our "American" dream of with enough work one will automatically ascend the social ladder is such a fairy tale. We are one of the countries with the least movement up the social mobility scale.
