I refer to Harry Reid (D-NV) as the Nevada Leg Hound, because, whenever it really matters, he humps a few Republican legs, begging for votes, whines, rolls over, and plays dead. Here is an opportunity to see the Nevada Leg hound in full whine mode.

You are so right TC Ė he stands there, wringing his hands whilst actually doing nothing!

The alderman in our ward jumps up and down with his fists balled up and whines like little girl. I feel as if I would like to send him a tutu for Christmas.

Of course under the prevailing conditions, we had to chose Reid over Sharon Angle. I just think both the House and Senate use the important lead positions as an honor for being a malleable good ole boy, and not because the person can get things done. Reid had a golden opportunity to whip the Senate into a smooth machine in January and flubbed his one opening. Instead of complaining about what doesn't happen he should be focused on how he can by-pass the obstructionists.

Thank you, TC

I'm happy to see that there are many others who are appalled at the failure of the Democrats and especially their leader in the Senate to stand up to the Republican's filibustering, lying, intimidation, .... By crying crocodile tears over the TeaParty's behaviour as if they were some entity entirely separate from the Republicans, Harry Reid showed his true self again. And your picture of him says more than a thousand words, TomCat ;-)

If Reid is waiting for any semblance of logic from the other side, he shouldn't hold his breath. Yes, they are just what he called them and until Reid calls their bluff, they'll continue their dirty deeds. I do feel that the Tea Party is a separate entity from the old guard and that's why Boehner can't get anything done, his caucus is split from those who would work a deal to those who would rather the USA sinks in it's own despair.

Agree with Carlene, the TP are the obstructionists who hold the rest of the GOP back when deals might have been made. Of course, Reid has fumbled the ball too many times, even looking as though he's more GOP than Dem.

The Tea Party Nation was formed to promote smaller government and lower taxes. Just like any political organization whether they are left or right driven, they have their fair share of loons. The Tea Party was instrumental in bringing the Republicans into the House in 2010 so they were doing their good work and accomplishing what they believed to be the right direction for congress. My hope is that they are once again successful in 2014.

Harry Reid needs to be put out to pasture along with Nancy Pelosi and John McCain. Throw John Kerry in there. We need to have term limits so that we can flush the incompetents out and bring in new people with new ideas. Pelosi's "well, I guess you have to pass the bill (The Affordable Care Act) to see what's in it" was a clear indicator that she was a certified loon. Old goats spare no political party. We've got them on the right as well.

It has been my observation that our current administration is by far the most incompetent group of people ever to be in our White House/Congress. It will be refreshing to witness many of them leaving the legislative branch and the executive branch of our government. It's time to get America back on her feet again. When Obama exits we will have gone through eight years of low to no growth and continued high unemployment. I won't go into his incompetent approach to foreign affairs as it is, unfortunately, a "work in progress."

"We're in a position here where people who donít believe in government ó and thatís what the tea party is all about ó are winning, and thatís a shame."

So Harry, what are YOU going to do about it? . . . other than nothing at all!

Harry, you're from the US gambling state. Surely some of that strategy and gamesmanship rubbed off on you! Knock the ace of spades out of the hands of the Republicanus/Teabagger by nuking the filibuster! Reverse the winning by making the Republicanus/Teabaggers whine! . . . and DO IT NOW!

I'm guessing that Harry Reid is looking at his cards and doesn't have a pair.

Thanks everyone.

Pam, that's what you get for drinking tea. I hope it wasn't InsaniTEA! ;-)

It's a rare day, when Diane and I agree, but we do about Harry. However, The Tea Party id the Ivory Snow of loons.

Edie, that's a good question! How I came to join Care2 was through toe petition sight, and I fielded a "Dump The Nevada Leg Hound" petition to replace him as Majority Leader, after he almost lost his seat to Sharon "Obtuse" Angle. It wen't nowhere. because I knew nobody there. Since I learned I'm a news guy, not a petition mavin. But I do hope one of them takes it up for 2014.

"The Tea Party Nation was formed to promote smaller government and lower taxes."

By Dick Army and the Kochs. NOT the people. To keep all of their spoils, in spite of the people.

When do republicans ever complain about any of their own?

Well, Jason, let me take this opportunity to complain about John McCain....I believe he needs to retire.

Get with the program. Millions of Americans are considered rich because they earn $250,000 a year of more (gross). Being rich spares no political party. Obama raised taxes on the middle class and small business owners....dumb bell that he is. Obama himself in the foot when he did that.

I believe Americans have the right to earn billions of dollars if they have the wherewithal to do so. Hey, even you could be wealthy if you were willing to do the work that the mega rich have done. Never put a rich person down for being smart and being in the right place at the right time. Why do you think so many are waiting in line to attain citizenship in our country? Do you think it's because they like the weather here? No, they want the opportunity that we have....to build a business, buy a home and educate their children. In our country we give people the opportunity to chart their life paths. In other words...."don't be sitting on the shore waiting for your ship to come if you haven't sent one out."

It's silly to talk about people who have family money. There are just as many democrats who have inherited family money as republicans.
