To be honest I had my doubts about this new Pope but he seems to be more in tune then the old Pope, who is still in hiding and won't talk to anyone. Would love to know what he IS hiding though. Wait, faux noise will get some "Christian" preacher on the tube to deny what the Pope is saying and the sheeple will sit back saying "yes, how right faux is" then go and vote next year against their own interests.

Thanks for the Short Takes again, TomCat.
People are going out into the streets to demand fair wages and fair treatment. That is hopeful, so Kudos to all of them!

The Republicans and their ilk have not been sitting still, I see. But they seem to have run a bit out of steam with bashing Obama - or rather, they are cooking up a new assault behind closed doors - and are in want of other victims to take away attention from their own mess. Now it's the Pope and of course, Rush Limbaug, who never had an original thought in his reptilian brain, has to take the lead from Fox News and parrots what he's heard there. Is there really anyone left who listens to Rush? It would be very ironical if the many body of his listeners was made up by us "Marxists", wouldn't it?

You are so right, TomCat. Of course election theft is not a Southern problem but a problem of all states where Republicans have enough people where it counts to rig the voting. These states differ only in the groups that the GOP wants to block from voting, the similarities are the hatred of the GOP of anyone not voting for them and how far they're willing to go to stop the people they hate from voting for anything else but the GOP.

Appropriate poster, though sad as there are thousands of Rosa Parks these days who want to say No, but are made voiceless and unheard.

I read it expanded to 1500 locations in the last 24 hours ahead--nice contrast to Eric Cantor's proposal to eliminate overtime for work beyond 40 hours in a week. Kudos in OH to someone astute enough to call for legal vetting of likely unconstitutional proposed legislation before it passes to save the taxpayers the expenses of defending unconstitutional (i.e., illegal) preferences of partisans in a state's legislature.

Good on the protesters and employee protesters against the Fascist Bast**ds. I hope the Waltons finally get the frikken message.....naaaaaaaaaaaaaa, they have other people to listen to the masses....they merely rake in the bucks from those who can shop nowhere else and those that shop against their own interests. One day, we, the 'little' people, the 'unwashed masses' WILL win....and then only their supply-side Jeeeeeeeezus will hear their cries of woe....and he'll turn his back on them....I know, I can dream though.

Limpbag and Faux Noose are about the only ones who are ragging on the Pope and that's to their own echo chamber....because he IS acting like a REAL Christian....GASP....can't have that now can we ole Limburger....he makes me barf. I actually LIKE this Pope...and that is saying a lot from moi! :)

Hate is not a strictly Southern Thang.....like Lona says, it's everywhere that there are enough Rethuglinazis to 'fix' it. And yes, they only want old, monied, white, men to vote. Disgusting.

Thank Dawg for Ms. Parks, I merely hope and prey that what she and countless others have done in the past for the future generations, has not been in vain.

Crooks and Liars — The evangelical right wing pseudo Christians, like Limbaugh the Pompous, would have everyone believe that they are upright, God fearing individuals who obey the word of God, particularly that laid out in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament). Well . . .

From Wikipedia "You shall have no other gods before me is one of the Ten Commandments found in the Hebrew Bible (לא יהיה־לך אלהים אחרים על־פני Exodus 20:3 = Deuteronomy 5:7)."

Well the Pope has exposed the evangelical right wing pseudo Christians for what they truly are, yet again! The evangelical right wing pseudo Christians worship money and greed as their god, going against the 2nd commandment! Tut! Tut!!

Cartoon — Thank you Rosa Parks for standing up for justice! Let's pack the bus so that the Republicanus/Teabaggers have to walk!

4:16, never got the light turned on. Darn.

Common Dreams – then add all the boycotters… I am dying to hear their sales figures for the day.

Crooks and Liars – Can't stand Rush – but how dare he, or anyone who isn't Catholic, even think about telling the Pope how to run his church? Brass balls the size of church bells., he must have.

The GOOD TP – Hooray for Marcia Fudge!

Bravo to the wal-fart protesters - who actually got some press this time!
Boo Hiss to Limbaugh who IS "unfettered capitalism" and who worships money. I wish that man would come to my house so I could slam the door in his face. Such a waste of skin and bone.
Elections will be scary - who owns the voting machines? Who makes up the new rules? who will lie, cheat, and steal in order to win? Our work is cut out for us, folks....

Hooray for the Pope! Nice to know he is pushing the "Right" buttons. We need to always be aware of where we shop and what we buy. Not like the days of the Shrub's administration, where he told everyone to just get out there and shop. I'm still trying to figure out how that helped our troops (NOT!). And Rosa Parks; what an amazing, brave woman. We need more like her. Thanks for the post, TomCat. Always thought provoking.
