I did the candy and scoop puzzle in about a minute less than average this morning. Careful! It will trigger the sweet tooth!

I will never set foot in Hobby Lobby.

Don't exhaust yourself so much you'll sleep through the whole of the 4th of July, TomCat. But thanks for all your posts, you did a great job.

NY Times: The US invades a country (under false pretences) and thinks it can bring it some US style democracy by sending not only troops in but also the thugs of Blackwater, a security contractor, which must be the epitome of all that is bad about the Republican idea of the free market. This Waffen SS makes millions by being above the law, under nobodies orders and a threat to civilians, including American investigators. They should be liquidated as an organisation, but when the pitchforks come out, you can be sure Blackwater (Academi, really, Academi!?!) comes crawling out of the woodwork again.

Daily Kos: Bill Maher is right of course, the current cicil war is because of revenge, as was the previous one, and the one before that and... This area been in strife since 950 which has been exacerbated by the British and some power hungry Sheik, who was not even from the region, when they drew the borders of a new country called Iraq on a map as they pleased, not bothered by any knowledge or insight into what was going on there. The different tribes and fractions are still taking revenge on that too, at present wiping these borders with their 'old border' caliphate.

The New Yorker: Loved the name Andy made up for the EU spokesman in his perfect put-down of Ann Coulter (and Dr. Ablow). But I disagree with him on one point, I think the EU can take credit for gay marriage too ;-)

Cartoon: You forgot the unanimous decision on banning the 35 ft buffer zone around abortion clinics, TomCat, they all partake in the War on Women on some level. Seeing how strongly they voice their dissent in the Hobby Lobby decision, I'd really like to know what has happened here in the week that passed. Did the four liberals think they would win over one vote from the conservatives on Hobby Lobby if they voted with them on the 'minor' issue of the buffer zone and miscalculated?

Busy Boy with Five posts - thank you, TC! Blackwater by any name is still Blackwater - or your term, GOP SS, which is certainly more accurate.
I wouldn't mind being more like the European countries at all....
Daily Kos has a petition to boycott the hypocrites known as Hobby Lobby....https://www.dailykos.com/campaigns/
69,736 signed already....

NY Times: Academi with a contract worth more than $1 billion to protect American diplomats, and has created “an environment full of liability and negligence.” The State Dept. needs to step up and investigate and prosecute the individuals responsible. Starting at the top. The SS is a good nickname for the GOP. Geesh.!!
Daily Kos: I like Bill's perspective on this, and like Andy B., I enjoy his show./articles.
Went into a Hobby Lobby years ago, couldn't find what I needed, so I left. Will never step into one again, either. Thanks, Arielle, for link, I signed a couple days ago.
You have been very busy this morning, lots of things going on, I help clean house today, movers gone. Time to take a breather and relax and cat nap today, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

5:42 I'm not sure this picture doesn't constitute enticement. Especially before breakfast.

NY Times - How in the world did this story even get into the Times? That is a fairly majpr outlet, even though it fires women who have the audacity to want pay equal t men's for the same job. You don't suppose they were trying to distract from the SCROTUS decision? Oh, God, please don't let me start thinking like a Republican! But Patty is right, no investigaion in the House, unless they can find a way to blame it on Obama.

Daily Kos - Yes, HBO is pretty anal about Bill. If you go to HBO home, you can see the "Overtime" segment for free, but you have to join and pay to see the whole program. I did see the transcript in Daily Kos (I subscribe to their highlights email) and of course he is right, as he usually is when he is not talking about "political correctness."

The New Yorker - What is really amusing to me is that, you are right TC, right wing news would eat this up as real news in a heartbeat. What makes the satire obvious to sane people is that Obama is far from a socialist and the ACA is far from national health care! But try to tell them that!

Cartoon - If Clarence had admitted he screwed women before he was confirmed, he wouldn't have been. Anita Hill TRIED to tell us.

THis is a great pic - hopefully it'll piss off enough women voters! Isn't it about time for some of the SCOTUS to retire...or stroke out?

ACADEMY et akas: hmm--still runnin' Henry Ford's private thugs 'n cons army drills routine" ... too bad they didn't "pick" up on Ford's million dollar(+) investments into bio-fuels 'n products w/a Hemp Car prototype (and the other $mil+ he put into George Washington Carver's bio works) instead ... of wastin' all this time keepin' fossil fuels a-flowin'...wonder why they prefer the cheatin' publicity 'n thug parts so much...just keeps us fightin-n-killin ad infinitum...ad nauseum...(maybe they're still trying to manufacture some more of those Constitutional Rights opts...)

IRAQ: After Shock(s) of the A.W.E.* (*Arabian/Asian.Western.European)--

SupreBOD, Inc*/CitizensUnited:
"We must make our choice. We may have democracy, or we may have wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both." ―Louis D. Brandeis, SCOTUS Justice

Great comments all
regarding Blackwater/Xe/Academi from themselves at:

The Real Facts Behind Recent Reporting on ACADEMI in Ukraine
It appears Prince may no longer be a part of them but competition (Reflex Responses).

Note that Ashcroft is on the board of directors and that they have bought up several of their competition.

TC, you got a serious amount of work done today. I have been on here an hour. Good work!

NY Times: Blackwater and companies like them are a disgrace and should be immediately fired by our government, they certainly do not meet the rules of the Geneva Convention. How did our country get so far from the basis we were formed on? Every one needs to get to work trying to convince those who still believe the crap the Bush administration and Faux news have foisted on us, that they are lies and dangerous lies at that.

Daily Kos: Yes, Malikie excluded all those who did not agree with him, sort of like Hitler. No wonder the Iraqi's are furious. This is now a civil war and they have to decide who wins, not us.

The New Yorker: No doubt some of the right wing will think this is true, it fits all their conspiracy theories.

Cartoon: If this Scrotus meets, I guarantee you someone, other than millionaires will be screwed

Tried to send more stars, C2 said no.

Well, my Winnie is home which we all like. So far, no fights. His brother and sister realise he is not well so they are giving him space and cuddles. It is going to be togh for the next week or so. He has to be fed every 2 hours but only a teaspoon of wet food at a time so that his tummy doesn't expand and blow his stitches on the inside. He sure is hungry though. He wants to eat his kibble and wet food, while the other 2 are intrigued by wet food which they have never had before. It is going to be a long week trying to keep the 3 apart during meal times!

Puzzle — 3:34 You'd think this would be easier the 2nd time around!

NY Times — Blackwater, part of the Bush/Cheney bag of tricks in Iraq. They all should be charged with crimes against humanity and in prison for life!

Daily Kos — "Revenge is a dish best served cold."

The New Yorker — "Breitfart, World Nut Daily, and the Republican Reichsministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise" — They have absolutely NO sense of humour!

Cartoon — A picture of Republican Constitutional VD! The only cures I know are impeachment of the Injustices (those are the guys with the red swastikas on their robes), retirement or death.
