Bill is quite right – crime rates have gone down both in the US and the UK – yet the police have got more and more and more weapons in both countries. WHY has West Springfield, Mass got two grenade launchers???!!!

Hot sauce puzzle time; 4:23. Wow! I can eat a bottle of hot sauce faster than that!

Governor Christie will build a bridge to nowhere and create a traffic jam on it. Problem solved!

The day they walked on the moon I was much higher than that.

There is no reasoning with Republican "logic" - there is no logic to Republican logic.

I could use some of that sauce on the outside. I seem to have pulled a muscle, and unfortunately it is one I breathe with, and I am doing everything v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y.

New Yorker - This was posted yestersay withoug being labeled and underlined as satire, and many took it seriously. I can see why! But I was sure myself that Christie has neither the brains nor the guts to try to take his rotten lemon and make lemonade.

Daily Kos - Kudos to La Feminista, who did the translation. It's so badly expressed it could mean amost anything. One wonders, (a) are her thought processes really that murky, (b) does she express herself that way so no matter how a sane person understands it she can say that's not what she meant, or (c) all of the above?

YouTube - Oh, I don't know, I thought it was pretty funny. But I think I can tell you why the Tea Party is not up in arms against it. They haven't grasped that they are every bit as vulnerable to police aggression as Damn Libruls, and as long as it's used against Damn Libruls, it's OK. Besides, if anybody tries it against them, they'll bring out their Organized Militia, that's what they'll do. Look at Cliven Bundy.

Cartoon - Wasn't it nice when there was real science and it was respected?

The threat of people who don't like something killing other people sounds like terrorism to me. I hope NSA is as active spying on those folks as they are on the libruls. The preparations by police are as if they believe grounds for martial law already exist--that is what is so frightening about it. Last century martial law plans were the only acceptable justification for such expenditures, which also had some real limits--where did all that go? I suspect post 9/11 exemptions to those limits disappeared in many hidden ways in many jurisdictions.

Kudos for making it to day 90 despite some severe temptations, muscle pain being one of them, I'm sure. Your tenaciousness will pay off in the end, TomCat.

The new Yorker: Andy had a field day with two of his favourite topics: PIGNocchio and the GOP's rage against illegal immigrants, especially if they're children. And with the arrogance of our bullying friend and a little bad karma, this could all play out in the near future. Better get cracking and do something about that karma.

Daily Kos: Perverted reasoning, that's putting it rather mildly, I think. This is just a thinly veiled threat and should be treated as such.

YouTube: Thanks for Bill Maher, TomCat. Sharp as ever and as you say, spot on. All the signs of western countries turning into police states are there, and it happening with the speed of light. And all of this to make us feel more secure. LMAO.

Christie's word's "There are ways of keeping people from going where they want to go" Oh this will be interesting as to what he means??!! We remember the Crazy Crap he has already done!! Then Lied!
Thank You TomCat

Puzzle — 3:16 I hate hot and spicey so I was running in the other direction!

The New Yorker — When I started reading this the first time in my in-box, the first thing I thought of was the bridge debacle. Keep reading and there it was. Christie is going to rue the day he tried to play London Bridge! Petty little pissant!

Daily Kos — Megyn Kelly has to be the most non sensical individual ever. Between her and Renee Ellmers (R – NC), they do the entire gender a disservice.

YouTube — I am sure he was good. Couldn't hear it.

Cartoon — “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”

Those muscles get really angry, don't they?

The New Yorker: Your comment says it all.

Daily Kos: Are we really sure Megyn Kelly is a woman? If she is….. barf.

Youtube: Bill is soooo right. I live between two small towns, one has a population of 3200, the other 4000, both police depts have enough equipment to take out a metropolis. Why?

Cartoon: My son took his first steps that day, always remember it for the significance for us all and for his big achievement. I have to admit, I was more excited for him.

Can't beat Andy's satire.....
Like your addition to the Daily Kos'
logic argument.....
I'm "on the road" this week, so
appreciate your posting Bill Maher.
I remember staying up late to
watch this history making event on
a grainy old black and white tv.
That was a "Good Old Day."
Still too slow on the puzzle. Does
anyone else have a problem with
the pieces "freezing" up (won't move)?

thanks TC I watch in awe never realizing that out government would one day turn those achievements into a way of turning our country into a police state
