Isn't everything Obama's fault? The good news is that the GOP have done so much finger pointing and blaming that it is losing it's force and becoming a joke.... kind of like the Republicans.
I am crossing fingers, toes, eyes and legs in the hopes that McConnell becomes someone we used to poke fun at and nothing more.

Exit sign puzzle time; 6:17. But I stopped in mid play to close the window and play with my friend's cat.

Andy is almost as funny as TC!

I saved the Vanity Fair article for later but I don't think they will invite me to their Oscar party.

I am having a bad hair day and it is Obama's fault.

5:24 Looks like the exit goes down the rabbit hole. TC, get some rest.

New Yorker - I thought in the UK everything was Kate Middleton's fault, as it is Obama's fault here.

Daily Kos - She's not doing badly in the polls, but of course polls are not the election, as Tom Dewey and Eric Cantor could tell you in no uncertain terms. What's that broker record? "We need to GET OUT THE VOTE."

NY Times - Very basic, but all valid; and, while we who think here understand it, way too many don't, and this is concise and accurate.

Cartoon - I would love to hear how the right wing nots who salted SCROTUS with five male Roman Catholics would blame Obama for the Spanish Inquisition.

Ooooops...the sun came up in the east must be Obama's fault.......SIGH. When will it ever end.....

LOL on the 'toon, Cat on.

LOL Dottie.

Good to hear that your second meeting went so well too, TomCat. You may end up to pooped to pump after a prison volunteers day, but I'm sure it feels like the good kind of frazzled ;-) Add to that 95 on the Day counter and your article production and I think everyone will agree you're on a roll. Keep on rolling, my feline friend.

The New Yorker: Andy's wit razor sharp again. His parallel between Prince George and a certain American President is hilarious, even though that President had a little longer to learn to walk an talk.

Daily Kos: Alison Lundergan Grimes knows exactly how to get a message across in just 30 seconds. Considering the dismal record of Mitch McConnell we can expect to see a lot more of these very clear and effective adds. She'll have everyone in Kentucky wondering in no time what the frack McConnell has been doing that is his job. Keep them coming Alison!

NY Times: Summed up it comes down to the final line "Inequality and lack of opportunity today constitute a national infirmity and vulnerability — and there are policy tools that can make a difference." A disturbing lesson from a disturbingly correct article.
I have been calling America a 'banana republic' one or two times on this thread, as a joke of course, but I was rather shocked to learn from this article that "the United States now has a Gini coefficient (a standard measure of inequality) approaching some traditionally poor and dysfunctional Latin countries", i.e. of "“banana republic” countries in Latin America". That joke has turned around and bit me on the a$$, ouch.
The trouble is that this American brand of Inequality is quickly becoming a global problem in both developed and newly developing countries - it traditionally has always been a problem in underdeveloped, banana-republic countries - at I believe that it is propagated by free markets through which corporations get economies and politics in their grip.

Cartoon: Yup, definitely Obama's fault, as was WW II, and the Vietnam war of course. And that's just the wars.

New Yorker: Andy got his zip back, it's so funny. He's a cute little boy too, isn't he?
Daily Kos: Can we clone Alison Lundergan Grimes? Loved this. Great video.!!!!
Cartoon: The blame game and lies that the RePugs are so good at will eventually kick them in the beeehind. I'd blame Mr. President for having to take a nap this afternoon, but I stayed up late on my own.
Have a wonderful relaxing Friday, and Thanks, Tom.

Grimes seems to find it easy to run a clean campaign against Mitch.
Developmental psychology usually says failure to take responsibility for your own mistakes is a sign of immaturity, and potentially worse with pathology if you blame someone else instead. Poor George to be faced with unrealistically high developmental expectations.
Glad the meeting went well and kudos on hitting 95.

am happy for you that the meeting was fantastic. Get some rest.

The New Yorker: Andy is so funny. Love your summary, they can somehow blame Obama for every thing.

Daily Kos: Allison is slamming him with her commercials. The latest one has half a dozenunemployed coal miners asking him why it is not his job to find jobs for Kentucky. He tried to deny that he made that statement, but the editor of the small paper in Beattyville, Ky would not back down. She has him on the run for sure.

NY Times: This was a very enlightening article. The top 1% also own our government and that is how they stay the top one percent. We need to start electing more people like Elizabeth Warren an Bernie Sanders and eliminate those like McConnell and Paul. To do that we have to educate the voters. I don't know how we do that, either. I am blue living in a red state and no matter how much I talk, few listen.

Cartoon: Of course it was Obama's fault, everything is.

Puzzle — 3:44 Gee, I thought that sign was "run for the loo" and now I'm stuck in the line up trying to get out!

The New Yorker — Should we tell Andy that Prince George is only 4th in line to the Crown? . . . he's not a reigning monarch. Prince Georges main problem is how to look cute when he has nappy butt (aka diaper butt)!

Daily Kos — To say something Terrie on Care2 would say: Dayum! If creating jobs is not McTurtle's job, then that is one area in which he has excelled. . . . but it is nothing of which to be proud! And TC, McTurtle probably killed the eagles on the quarters when he passed wind.

NY Times — "Inequality and lack of opportunity today constitute a national infirmity and vulnerability — and there are policy tools that can make a difference."

I think this is a universal truth, not just an American truth. The question then becomes "Are we ready to make the policy decisions necessary to promote opportunities and reduce inequality, or at least manage it better?"

Cartoon — Good one. Anything that goes against their grain is Obama's fault! I sure hope these right wing nut jobs get their asses kicked so hard during the next election that they turn inside out and can't right themselves!

"In 2010, 93 percent of the additional income created in America went to the top 1 percent."

Ah, finally! For some reason, Republicans are not blaming Obama for something.

"If creating jobs is not McTurtle's job, then that is one area in which he has excelled."

Yes, the GOP has turned accomplishing nothing into a science., if they believed in science, that is. They think the jury's still out on science.
