Here is the fifty-sixth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is Republican nominee for Maryland’s Anne Arundel County Council, Michael Peroutka. He is so honored for criminal sedition and TEAbuggery.

Do people like Peroutka actually believe the idiocy they spout or is it just some kind of degenerate ploy to gain power by appealing to the most stupid and evil in society? Whatever the reason ~ there are just way too many of them parading around the GOP circus tent!

Michael Peroutka is one of those candidates that tries his luck in every possible party and for every possible post until he finally strikes lucky, when he finally finds an audience (and voters) that are so dumb and so worn down by all the TP BS that they let him slip through. An audience that would vote for the backside of a horse if it farted Dixie.

The good people of Anne Arundel County probably had no other choice than Peroutka, because if another candidate had been the tiniest little bit more boring, they would have picked him as this obviously was a competition on who could lull them to sleep the best. I mean, despite the word "sedition" and "biblical" repeatedly coming up, I had no idea what he was on about nor could I keep myself from nodding off. Nevertheless, he fits the profile for your parade perfectly, TomCat, as the Republicans did indeed nominate him and he won his primary on the elephant's back.

That is one sick man. Yes, that is sedition and he ought be arrested, not nominated, I'd think that arrest would make him ineligible to run for office in a "regime" he wishes to eliminate and replace with a biblical world view - how that is different from any Sharia based country is not a distinction I can make and I would find it as reprehensible as I do theocracy's everywhere. Dixie is not the national anthem and that horrid excuse for a human being should not be elected to any office above rat catcher. Being they know each other so well and all.

All you have to do is read about these wackos who keep opening their mouths and you know you have to vote them out of office in Every Election.

He's also waging a war on history--Maryland wasn't a part of the Confederacy--the states that were are:

South Carolina Mississippi Florida Alabama Georgia Louisiana Texas Virgina Arkansas Tennessee North Carolina

I'm not sure Peroutka is just appealing to the most stupid and evil; I think he is one. Also Anne Arundel Republican voters are apparently heavy on 1%ers, so more evil and greedy than stupid.

Why don't people like this ever commit suicide? Oh, yeah, their egos would never allow it. Another monkey butt with a big mouth and teeny brain.... we have an over-supply of these already.

Biblical means church. Law means government. He's so confused.

The more the GOP/TP "crazies" speak up, the more Democratics will hit the polls mid term!

I had never heard of this guy so I did a little more digging in the net. From Encyclopedia of American Loons Michael Peroutka

"…campaign theme being “God, Family, Republic” – emphasized in particular the Bible and the idea of America as a Christian Nation, advocating for instance a revision of the First Amendment to affirm Triune Christianity as the officially established religion of the United States. Peroutka was accordingly endorsed by several prominent Dominionists, the League of the South, and Alex Jones. (In 2014 his ambitions are a bit lower, but he is registered to run for spots on a county commission and on the Republican party committee in Anne Arundel County, Maryland; less power, perhaps, but also a greater chance of succeeding – and this guy is seriously dangerous.)"

And in 2004, this loon was the presidential candidate for the Constitution Party. You might also get a good laugh with these short videos.

My comment was cut off . . .

You might also get a good laugh with these short videos. Michael Peroutka Peroutka is most definitely dumber than a sack of hammers, which calls into question the sanity of anyone who would vote for him. I think someone gave him a wedgie and it cut of the circulation to his brain, such that it is.

Noted with extreme disgust! Thanks for posting, Tom. Where the hell do these bible-thumping reprobates come from?!? Hope you're thinking about a book or a movie edition of this series, TC! Prizes will follow...

In dysfunctional systems, the narcissistic and ant-social rise to the top.
The Teabagging GOP is hugely dysfunctional, and the sickos smell it, gravitate, and crawl through the slime, towards it, and, sometimes get elected by the dumb percent.

When I saw that the clip was from Right Wing Watch.Org I knew I couldn't watch all of it. He is, sadly, a true representative of the Republican party today.
