4:13 Cute little thing.

May your meditation be positive and fruitful!

YT/RWW - I'm not sure this guy is even as bad as Jeffress. I find Jeffress operatic, and not in a good way. The Grand Inquisitor telling Philip II "Sure, kill your son, for the good of the church."

DCR - Did they mention that the owner of The National Enquirer is named PECKER? Bwahahahahahaha!!

RS - I realize this is straight news - but it sure sounds like Andy.

Newsweek - So, another example of a Republican who doesn't understand the Constitution. Ho-hum. It is news that he's breaking from the party line, however.

Cartoon - Fo' shizzle.

YT: Sad that people are listening to him, and praying for the 'anointing' of dt'. From what I see from the Orange One, I sure don't see compassion, and caring for his fellow Americans.

DCR: Yea, looks like Manfort's done. Good riddance! Now...on to dt......

RS: A talented actress, loved Melissa's impersonations of Spicer. Spicer? on SNL? Uhh...not so much.

NW: A gallant comment by a man who thinks like I do...but I agree, it's words gone to the wind.

Cartoon: Word.

My guys played Carolina last night, we lost. 27-17. Hope that your prayers are answered at church. Hope the humidity abates to where you can enjoy your evening too. Take care, and Thanks, Tom.

to Mr Joyner, if trump is "really open" to God's word, then I would just say Gods word is peace and or love......not war.....not hellfire....not destruction

Puzzle — 3:33  Sorry little pup but, as cute as you are, I could not save you.  I did however cut your leash so run like the fury to get away from that rapacious Puddy Tat!

YouTube — Rick Joyner: “He is really open to words from the Lord.  I think he discerns words from the Lord better than most Christian do.” Does this mean  that Drumpf is hearing voices that others don’t hear?  I believe that is a symptom of schizophrenia for many sufferers.  No disrespect intended for those who suffer with schizophrenia, a serious and often debilitating disease.  Joyner says in essence that Drumpf has a direct line, a red phone if you like, to the Almighty.  I find that offensive.

On a related note, The Washington Post had an article today in which they quote Pastor Robert Jeffress”

“When it comes to how we should deal with evil doers, the Bible, in the book of Romans, is very clear: God has endowed rulers full power to use whatever means necessary — including war — to stop evil,” Jeffress said. “In the case of North Korea, God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong Un.”

I find this offensive too.  Drumpf does not have any moral authority for anything!

Raw Story — I didn’t know that Andy had started writing for Raw Story!  Where is Harold Dorrinson in all this?  He usually has something to say.  It is quite apparent that Spicer has not soured on the limelight.

Newsweek — Isn’t it amazing . . . people who are elected to run the country too often have not read the constitution, or if they have, they don’t understand it.  There should be a mandatory “Reading and Understanding the Constitution 101” class for new Reps/Senators on a non partisan basis.  Although I must say, if on the off chance that Pence and the senior cabinet positions invoked the 25th amendment, Pence would be no better.  After reading yesterday’s Upworthy article, Pence is already substantially influencing Drumpt.  It seems Drumpf may have 2 puppet masters . . . Putin and Pence.

Cartoon — Looks about right especially after Kobach gets finished with Drumpf’s useless and unnecessary little commission which is an in your face attempt at voter suppression.

Resist, Persist and Remove!!!

OMG!!!  It is hot today . . . again!  It is 31 C (88 F), 48% humidity, sunny but smoky and no breeze.  We may get some rain on the weekend, but as I said yesterday, I must be from Missouri because I will only believe it when I see it.  Winter time can’t come soon enough for me . . . or at least much cooler weather.

3:04. Darling dog.
Unfortunately, I know too many people who think just like Rick Joyner. They are generally closed minded, unable to grasp reality, and pretty happy about the idea of the world blowing up. Absolutely crazy.
NE: Manafort was on his way under the bus as soon as Don Jr. mentioned him being at the Russian meeting, just surprised it took this long.
Cooler weather will be most welcome all along the West coast.
Thanks for the post, TomCat. RESIST!

RWW: Sorry, not going to waste precious bytes on watching/hearing a Talibangelist like Joyner praise his new idol. All I can say after reading the introduction to the video: I’m not worried about North Korea either. I’m worried about Drumpf and his obvious enthusiasm to go to war there.

DCR: People’s (Drumpf and the so appropriately named Pecker 🤣) minds must be really warped if they think they can distance Drumpf from Manafort by making him out to be an exact copy of Drumpf himself: a womanizing, greedy, full-of-himself halfwit.

RS: Sources of US Weekly had it that Spicer wants to play himself on SNL? Sometimes fake news is actually funny.

Newsweek: Some Republicans seem to run scared, which is probably brought on by Drumpf’s bellicose rhetoric aimed at Kim Yung Un. A bill that would set up an Oversight Commission on Presidential Capacity? Why didn’t they think of that 7 months ago?
I know these four short takes refer to serious articles, TomCat, but at first glance they all seem satire or at least a joke. It’s sad that it has come to this for American politics and news: it all seems a joke until you realize it’s reality and tears of laughter change into tears of frustration and anxiety.

Update on North Korea-US animosity: PM Malcolm Turnbull says Australia would enter conflict if North Korea launched attack on US

But I’m so glad there’s good news for you too, TomCat: temperatures will go down soon and the meditation season has started. Enjoy! 📣
