This morning, while researching this article, I listened to the dedication ceremony of the new, misbegotten US Embassy in Jerusalem. Playing a key role in that ceremony were two evil Republican Supply-side pseudo-Christian Dominionist hypocrites. They could not be more opposed to authentic Christianity. They claim to be supporting the peace of Jerusalem, but they pray and prey for bloody war.

So many people are laughing at them for thinking they are going to fulfill prophecy. My thinking is, "What if they succeed?" What if they succeed on bringing about the greatest, most vicious evil the world have ever seen, and, in fact ending it? Serving God. I guess we need to start screaming, "Yer doin' it wrong!"

RESIST AND PERSIST !!!

In truth, Jesus was not yet a Christian, as there was no such thing at the time. He was a Jew upsetting the status quo. If the stories are accurate, perhaps we can say that Paul was the first Christian.
In any case, the second that Hagee whispered that into tDump’s ear, tDump thought he simply had found an eternal center stage better than any he’d ever imagined. Sadly, it is all mythology. Sadly, people are going to die because of this, who might not have otherwise. The entire Rapture story is man made, just as all the other “Known” endings of the world that have come, and gone previously.

So, on the news just a moment ago, we already see violence related to the embassy change. Jared, he of no import beyond having a dumb father-in-law in a place of power, spoke some words at the unveiling of the building that will be the new embassy. Oh, gee, has he got some real estate conflicts of interest there?
Superstition is going to be the grim reaper, once again!

They are, to me, 'gluttons', of some vile kind, that I cannot name - but they are not the first, nor the last.

‘America crossed every red line’: Palestinians in Jerusalem protest new US embassy.

May 14, 2018

JERUSALEM — Hundreds of Palestinians took to the streets of Jerusalem in protest as American and Israeli officials celebrated the inauguration of the US Embassy in Jerusalem on Monday, the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba.

As US President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner celebrated the inauguration with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and major Trump donor Sheldon Adelson, Palestinian protesters outside were met by armed Israeli police forces who heavily suppressed demonstrations and arrested several protesters.

Though the several speeches given during the ceremony made no mention of Jerusalem’s 350,000 Palestinian residents, protesters rose their voices in opposition to the move, which broke with decades of US foreign policy in the region.

‘America crossed every red line’

Protesters gathered in the West Jerusalem neighborhood of Arnona, about 200 meters away from where the ceremony was taking place, due to a series of road closures by Israeli police.

“The fact that they closed off the streets to block protesters, and sent hundreds of police forces to attack us and arrest us, just shows that they know what they are doing is illegal,” Mohammed Abu al-Hummus, a local activist, told Mondoweiss.

“They tried to keep us far away, so that we could not interrupt their ceremony, and so they could celebrate in peace,” he said.

Abu al-Hummus told Mondoweiss that the transfer of the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem “crossed every red line,” and criticized the presence of Dallas-based Baptist Pastor Robert Jeffress — who has previously called Islam “a heresy from the pit of hell” — at the ceremony.

“Trump made this move to appease his Zionist Christian base and make them happy, without care for the consequences it will have on Palestinian lives,” Abu al-Hummus said.

“In America, they have the statue of liberty and pride themselves on freedom, but then they come to Palestine and support the racism of the Israeli occupation,” he said. “This move shows us that they do not understand the true meaning of democracy.”

Mamoun Razeq, a resident of Jerusalem, called the transfer of the embassy “an attack on the Palestinian people.” (Photo: Saleh Zghari)

Mamoun Razeq, a resident of Jerusalem who participated in the protests, expressed similar sentiments.

“The American government is not, and will never be part of peace,” Razeq told Mondoweiss amid the crowd of protesters.

“The transfer of the embassy is a dangerous attack on the Palestinian people, and has created tensions that no one can predict the outcome of.”

“This is a provocation against the Palestinian people, and this is why I am here today,” he said. “I have a right over this land as a Jerusalemite, and I must defend it, even if just with my voice.”

Palestinian writer and Jerusalemite Bodour Hassan told Mondoweiss that the embassy move only solidified the distrust Palestinians have long had in the American government.

“We do not accept the American embassy to be anywhere in Palestine. The transfer of the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was done to provoke Palestinians,” she said.

“This just shows us the real face of the US. We saw this face before, but to transfer the embassy solidified what we already knew about the US.”

No faith in the international community

Among the hundreds of protesters in Jerusalem was former prisoner and famed lawyer Shirin al-Issawi.

“I came here as a Palestinian woman and Jerusalemite, to raise my voice against the American support of the Israeli occupation and its attacks and crimes against the Palestinian people,” Issawi told Mondoweiss.

“I am here today, because as a Palestinian, it is my duty. If we did not come here as Palestinians and Jerusalemites to defend our land, who else will support us?,” she asked.

“We have always stood alone against the Israeli occupation’s policies, without any help from the international community, and we will continue to protest this transfer of the embassy, and to make sure our rights are upheld here in Palestine and in Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine.”

Al-Issawi criticized the celebration of the embassy opening by Israeli officials and citizens, saying “their celebration today shows how brutal and monstrous they are, and the racism that they practice in this land.”

Despite the Israeli suppression of protests and disregard for Palestinian opposition to the move, al-Issawi said that she, thousands others like her, will continue to protest.

“We will keep resisting until we free all of Palestine, not just Jerusalem and the West Bank, but all of Palestine,” she said.

You can't buy dignity, intelligence, class or know the right thing to do if you are immoral. All churches, but especially Pseudo Christian churches, should be Taxed to the max.
Real separation between Church and State. Thieves. pickpockets, liars.

These are despicable critters. It's like none of them has ever read the New Testament nor have any idea that Christ was a brown skinned Semite, a Jew. The pictures in the churches of this country of a blued eyed white male are just plain lies. These men, almost universally men, are beyond contempt. They preach hatred and division. They ARE the modern day equivalents of the Pharisees and Hypocrites Christ threw out of the temple. THEY are the people he railed against. Were there such a thing as a judgment day, these would be in the line of "I know them not", first and foremost. Horrible people, racist, misogynists and death dealers. All having found a fine way to make a fine living telling other people, too lazy to think for themselves, what to think, say and do. We may be sentient but most of us are dumb as rocks.

If I could rid the world of anything, first would be the fake Christian preachers, next the fake violent preachers from all religions, then the violent, racist politicians. The world might have a chance at survival with them gone. If I could I'd create a "rapture" just for them, to get them off this world.

Michael Valentine Smith, the protagonist of Robert A. Heinlein's prescient Stranger in a Strange Land had these idiot's number in the 1960's. That they are still causing the same idiotic trouble is the single most backward thing this world has accepted. And should stop doing immediately.

Why Israel Will Not Continue along the Same Path for Another 70 Years.
May 15, 2018

The logic is inescapable. In 1917 when the British government of David Lloyd George issued the Balfour Declaration, his then cabinet consisted predominately of either Nonconformist or Evangelical Christian churchgoers whose beliefs were governed by the texts of the Bible. They believed in the Second Coming of Christ made possible by the redemption of the Jews who would be gathered together and baptised, en masse, in Jerusalem.

By 1948, however, British values and religious beliefs had changed dramatically but crucially not that of the Americans and their President, Harry S Truman. He was the key factor in the establishment of the new state, planted in Palestine, and the first to recognise it. The rest of the international community took its cue from the US super-state. Which is where we are today.

However, no one could have envisaged that a political entity established as a sanctuary for stateless European refugees, post WW2, would evolve to be a secret nuclear power with an increasing influence over the American Congress and Presidency and with carte blanche to kill at will – in particular those indigenous Palestinians whom it had forcibly expelled from their lands in 1948.

So, why will Israel not continue along the same path for another 70 years?

The answer lies in the changing face of America and its already declining influence on the world stage. The mighty dollar will in the next years lose its position as the world’s reserve currency and, for a variety of reasons, will be replaced by that either of China or Europe.

At that point, Israel will lose its supply of arms, aircraft and funding from the United States and when that time comes, it will revert to just a small, non-strategic state on the Eastern Mediterranean with a mixed population of maybe just 10 million Muslims, Christians and Jews, all co-existing and having free access to the holy sites, in perpetuity. It will probably also revert to its original name of Palestine and Jerusalem will become once again an international city in accordance with the will of the United Nations.

“… Hagee … that he told President Donald Trump he would win “political immortality” “
Damn, I was hoping for political immolation! I guess that is going to take a little longer since it is DIY!

I agree with Infidel

“The Christianist and Islamist extremists want violence and rage and hate, to keep people fighting each other, because that empowers the extremists.”

But I would also add Jewish extremists to the mix.

As to Drumpf, he is not an authentic Christian. I don’t even think he is a pseudo Christian. He is a hedonist drawing his pleasure from extra marital affairs, bullying, money, power and his narcissism.

F Y I @ work and off to lunch in 2 mins...... CAUTION !!! Whenever love is used as an excuse to hate you know that truth is not alive. Love is open, kind, and bridges us to one another. If something else is brewing, you can bet it's not what higher consciousness is inspiring, rather, it is based in fear, and fear breeds hate. We have a problem Houston! It is up to us to bring back the truth, the kindness, and build bridges!

Thanks, Stars, Hugs, and amen to all! 🐱

Whenever ideologue Christians, Jew, Muslims, Hindus, or Atheists seek to impose their own beliefs on others, that is the problem. Authentic Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and everything else coexist.
