I have to post these lovely childrens' stories...their lives can not disappear in vain. The accused need locked up and put in jail for life....and the more we pass these articles around, and have friends note them...the more we become aware of how strict our laws must be to prosecute any monster harming them.

Noted with sadness for the death of this beautiful innocent child!
It should be a crime to be allowed to have more children once you have already murdered one of your own.

It is a very sick thing that so any people seem to go about their daily lives without any compassion for children. The system fails at every recourse. why? Apathy. If I don;t acknowledge it...it doesn't exist. shame on the american people for not stepping up to the plate and taking rsponsiblility to scream out for justice for ALL children everywhere. How many more must die? We need to change the foster care system NOW.

Right with you Kathy - I cannot stand the thought of anyone harming a little innocent child - they wish only to be loved and cared for and they return that love twicefold - how can these people do what they do to these darling souls and expect to get away with it??? What is wrong with them???

Sadly noted. This is the type of story that gets such a strong visceral reaction from me. The problem of abusing and killing children is escalating world-wide! We obviously do not understand much of the underlying pathology even as we tick off the stressors--nothing at all justifies killing brutally and/or indifferently. This woman should never have access to a child. I am pained that she had this precious one to brutalize and destroy--a child who called her "Mommy." No, they would never put me on the jury to hear this case.

I keep thinking and believing that people act first without any or...no acceptance of any consequences. And you gotta know that it started earliy with this foster mom No...it just plain angers me. Poor little child....my prayers are with her on the wind....may the spirits hold her in their arms...

I wonder if she would have treated this child's injury differently if it had been her own "natural" child! It really is sad. Foster kids have already endured so much before being placed in a home -- they deserve a little extra love!

I am just dismayed with the amount of news we get about children being mistreated, tortured, murdered, neglected... I just read a story about a man throwing his four babies from a bridge (4mo, 1, 2, and 3 years old). And another bout another man torturing a child with hot cooking oil and a hot blow drier until the kid's skin fell of because he wouldn't stop crying (17 months old...) What are we doing! how can we allow this to happen! What can we do to stop this maddness!! What is at the root of all this???
