Living here in Mendoland (Mendocino County) we are fortunate to have this awesome solar and green living resource, the Solar Living Center (and Institute), and it's business component, Real Goods. On your next trip to/through Mendoland, try to visit the Center. They produce the annual SolFest in August (weekend of 16-17 this year), one of the first green and most festivals on the planet. SolFest is the world’s premier two-day celebration of renewable energy and sustainable living. Since SolFest was born in 1996 over 100,000 people have learned how to change the world while having fun. Each summer SolFest transforms the rural hamlet of Hopland, California, into the global epicenter of green living.
