I would love to visit that island in Michigan. I remember seeing a movie called "Somewhere in Time" starring Jane Seymour & Christopher Superman fame. It featured a hotel called the Grand. It was a magical place. Apparently it was avery happy film set too.

Yay, no cars. I'd love to visit or rather live somewhere with no cars, or very few cars. I'm heartily sick of the continual sight, sound, smell and smog of cars in cities. There are just too many cars in this world for me! Bah humbug to cars and oil!

I have always wanted to go to Mackinac Island- have read about the Lilacs in June. It must be a heavenly place to visit. Perhaps sometime in the near future our Family will visit this magical place. Am against the horse driven cart tho.
