Tell Breast Cancer Charities to Use Innovative, Humane, Nonanimal Research Methods

Animals  (tags: health, ethics, Breast cancer, animalcruelty, animal experiments )

Animal studies can neither confirm nor refute hypotheses about human physiology or pathology. There are countless, far superior, and ethical alternatives to animal research. Send an email to the executives of charities which fund animal experiments.

Animals in laboratories are often forced to endure early separation from their mothers, social isolation, prolonged captivity, sensory deprivation, repeated physical harm, and euthanasia when they are no longer considered useful to research.

Animal studies can neither confirm nor refute hypotheses about human physiology or pathology. There are countless, far superior, and ethical alternatives to animal research.

In addition, opinion polls conducted by the Opinion Research Corporation of Princeton, N.J., show that the majority of Americans prefer to support innovative, humane, nonanimal research methods. It is unnecessary, ineffective, and irresponsible to continue to use these unreliable and cruel research methods.

Thank you Red, an important story. It galls me to think that most of the medicines that the world takes caused great harm to an animal at some time in the development of that drug instructions should read take 1 pill and swallow with tears.

Thanks Red and congrats on posting your first news!!!

I have taken action on this and forwarded to my friends. It is important that we stop treating non-human animals as if they where disposable and of no true value. These are sentient beings who have a right to live as much as we do and we shouldn't abuse them and take their lives in order to play at being Gods.

research won't come to a grinding halt if we stop using animals. necessity is the mother of invention. let's take animals out of the equation and see what innovative methods the brilliant minds of this world can come up with.

Hi Red, Congratulations on your first news post Yeah!!! I signed the petition twice. I got a response early this morning. Unfortunately they feel they are humane and are using geneticly raised mice for their what they say" Limited and humane studies!" How many years have people been donating to cure breast cancer?, and why are they not telling the truth about how insecticides , pesticides and herbicides are some of the major factors for causing cancers of many kinds. The big chemical companies are keeping progress on diseases such as cancer from truly being cured!!
The fight continues . They need to expose the chemical and pharmicutical companies for the truth on this issue.

I can tell you what causes breast cancer--toxic buldup in the body lodging in the breast tissues from the lymph nodes in that area. The whole system is so screwed up and Doctors are idiots. If they would come out of denial about the pollution in our air, food and drinking water, we could stop breast cancer dead in it's tracks. I cured myself of fibro cystic disease by eating a vegetarian, unprocessed food diet. Until they face the cause there will never be a cure no matter how many laboratory animals they maul. That is why I never support the supposed breast-cancer organizations because they are all full of crap and taking people's money for NOTHING.

I suggest replacing the last paragraph with something along these lines. We need justice for everyone.

"I do not call on you to support any breast cancer research organizations that are looking for a "cure" for breast cancer. If the powers that be would acknowledge that the toxic manner in which this planet is currently in and stop polluting our environment then there would be no breast cancer, in my belief. No organization has the courage to do something like this to my knowledge because that would be bucking the system that channels funds to them to keep us all ignorant. I know what causes breast cancer and how to cure it. Why is this such a mystery to these "charities" and why hasn't the "cure" been found yet? Too many high paid executives in all aspects of society keeps us all under their profiteering scheme. And of course, animals suffer needlessly due to this corruption and denial of truth and justice."

Red,I not only signed the petition,I also gave them an alternative to using animals!! I suggested using prisoners that have commited horible crimes!! I think if you make a spectacle out of these monsters in prison,it will make future criminals think twice, and innocent animals will stop being tortured!! Two problems solved!! Yes it is inhumane, but so is animal testing, and they feel everything we do,but they do nothing to deserve this type of torture, criminals do,but they just want to keep on housing and feeding them!! I will NEVER understand it!! At least get some use out of them!! Thanx Red!! Lori

Animals should NEVER be used for experiments. They feel pain as we do and the results are so often of no use to any human being. Leave the animals alone. Maybe they should use rapists, child murderers and such that are of no use to society. Thanks Red. Noted and forwarded.

Congratulations on your firts news Red, Its a very good one, I signed the petition to use animals for testing is imoral no need for it, if they want to know how its going to effect a human then let them test it on them selves!!! That way they can watch the movie of the person they shoot up or what ever they do to the animals do to them. Noted
