The flow of the mining waste, which can contain things like arsenic, mercury, and sulfur, uprooted trees on its way to the creek and forced a water ban for about 300 people who live in the region.

Noted. Thanks for posting this important info, Heidi. This is terrible. More undrinkable, unusable, toxic water. At least it's being reported. I wonder how many other places are affected.

Al Richmond, chairman of the Cariboo Regional District told the Vancouver Sun, ďThe creek (used to be) four feet wide. Now itís 150 feet wideĒ and has gone a milky green colour! Disgusting. The mining company whose waste it is, is responsible for this and should be held accountable.

This is terrible news for all affected, human and wildlife. I hope the company has to pay and clean up its mess. These rich, greedy bastards will be the death of us all.

This will mean profits for the bottled water industry.
