In her official statement responding to the current arrests of Occupy Wall Street protesters, Jill Stein says she sees the sometimes brutal assaults as civil liberty violations and a part of a suppression campaign to stop the economic/democracy movement.

With the WIDE spread spreading of the Occupy movement, this is not an isolated problem of civil disorder. This is the masses finally realizing that the current system is set against them and stepping out to protest. There is no stopping this revolution.

This afternoon, the children/young adults group of the Montreal Unitarian church are going to visit the Occupy Montreal camp at Victoria square. All the young people involved are very interested in the movement, as are their parents accompanying them and we all hope for a peaceful visit. We are also trying to find out in which way we can help the "Occupiers" as they head towards the cold winter months.
Please wish us well on behalf of the "ordinary' and exploited people of this Earth.

Andrea, one person told me they were knitting hats. Maybe knit hats, mittens/gloves, scarves and wearable blankets?

I have wrote numerous emails to various mayors about the violation to our First Amendment Rights! I am so sad that the Occupiers are being treated like violent criminals! I am glad that there are people who are standing up for our rights and speaking out!
