This rare presidential interview is a typical example of how some mainstream journalists are miserably failing to hold a powerful politician accountable in the public's eye!!

Does President Obama control the press media to some extent, or else why would this journalist carefully dance around these hardball interview questions???

It is extremely difficult to find another explanation for this uncalled-for political protection in this case!!

... Or rather the interviewer 'should have asked' the most beckoning hardball questions and should have further pressed for the correct answers also ...

You are a piece of work, Pink - I saw that interview and I thought Steve Croft asked some mighty tough questions, no punches pulled. I'll add another quote to yours, Elle: " A wise man speaks because he has something to say; a fool because he has to say something". - Plato.

Do I detect a hint of political self-protectionism here, that always clouds one's own good and better judgement?

Please remove your rose-colored blinders and seek the truth for everyone's better good!!

I thought he sounded very sincere while misrepresenting his record. I'm not sure whether I would prefer that he be lying or self-deluded.

The other day Pink was posting things about Obama being irrelevant and then today it's " hold a ^powerful* politician accountable ". Seems to me that U R very very confused, like a true Teabagger Pink.......I'd suggest that you, Pink/cast of fake I.D. characters, remove your White tented blinders....and make up your mind [s] ....[ Deception is usually a slippery slope for those with many fake I.d. names etc. on care2 but you seem to thrieve in least that is one achiement in your my opinion.]

Sooooooo...what about you removing those White blinders of yours Pink ?...and making up your mind as to Obama being powerful or irrelevant....I mean, perhaps the whole world is waiting to learn which it is from you...since you declaired Obama to be irrelevant a few days ago only to learn today that he is still a powerful politician... according to the posted statement above in the 'title description' of this thread. Guess all that 'Third Eye' mumbojumbo failed ya again ?

Must be too early in the day for the majority of the rightcrazywinger/teabagger racist ...cast of many.... to post on this thread. I 'll check back later to see which ones you come up with Pink...just fer de fun of ta say. That is if I have any spare time later for reading the comments of insanitea'ers from the far rightwingcrazy side of politics. Those are who you post these Obama threads for isn't it ?

Right now I think the rest of us should focus on the rightwingcrazies in Congress, and some weak Democrats.. via Occupy movements force them to get on track to solving problems, and not continuing on with creating more as they have the past three my opinion.

60 minutes has always been pro dem. they love obama they would never ask him tough questions, even if he screwed up totally they would keep those rose colored glasses on. i used to always watch 60 minutes but gave up. i can't stand the one sided garbage anymore. it's the same reason i don't watch fox. i want both sides reported on, not a love fest.

WHATEVER-----like listening to the other candidates is any more enlightening or honest. They are POLITICOs for gods sake, and the interviewer is a lackey. How does this compare to the Reep so-called debates? They fluctuate between the ridiculous to snooze-fests and laugh-o-ramas! This was just more of the same from the other side. Sadly, he will still be the lessor of all evils at election time.

President Obama is clean and fresh as driven snow, I suppose ... LOL!!!

Ohhh, the 'lessor of two evils' excuse ... Huh???

No excuse is good enough to re-elect such a wishy-washy politician to govern the United States of America!

"Kroft asked none of those questions; nor did he press Obama about his views on indefinitely detaining American citizens; nor did he ask about the killing without due process of Anwar al-Awlaki, an American; nor did he ask about the controversy surrounding whether the morning-after pill should be available over-the-counter for people of all ages or not; nor did he ask about the private security contractors that America will pay to stay in Iraq after we leave; nor about the state secrets privilege; nor about aggressively prosecuting whistleblowers; nor about many other issues of concern to liberals, conservatives, and libertarians, all of whom have earnest complaints. Obama vs. any of the other contest.

Its not the presidential race we are concerned with, that's a clown show and an insult to us as the American people that the Republicans have the nerve to offer such ridiculous people. Its the House and Senate and the Supreme Court we need to watch.

Good post Mindy! America has had enough of talking heads.. Enough Bait & Switch.. Obama is one of the better talking heads out there but he, like all presidents, is nothing more then front men with advisers that make the important decisions. Advisers to the president are the main problem this nation is facing and that's one issue "We" must go after head on!

Corporations, Plutocrats, are single-minded.

That is a great danger!

Journalism isn't what it's supposed to you want the tough questions (ska gotcha moments after all). except for right wing candidates of course. let's also look at Faux News... Those fine upstanding never partisan non-journalists over there. We were better off when it was Cronkite reporting the news, asking tough questions, with the left and right watching ...while keeping his personal opinions to himself, letting the public form their own opinions.

People complain about about Obama, but compared to the evil things and the screw ups the Dubya did Obama is a perfect president! I am disappointed with Obama, but he is a politician and they all suck! You cannot expect anyone that runs for president to do everything you want and up hold expectations, after all they are still human and going to be a little shady and sadly Obama is still our best best!

We are so lucky to have Obama as our president. Tell me, which of you could do a better job with an obstructionist, filibustering, hateful republican-teabagger congress blocking everything you do and criticizing every word you say. If the weather is bad, guess what, it's Obama's fault. Frankly Scarlett, me thinks all you naysayers are delusional, totally out of touch with reality. Sorry about that. So keep hugging the GOP: Greedy One Percent, and unless all of you are millionaires and billionaires, your turn will come too, and by'll be too late. Swallowed by the evil forces, and Obama will look like a Saint!

RE: Rich Elite 1% President Barack Obama (He doesn't know anything about being the 99%!!):

In a recently conducted Craiglist survey, President Obama took the lead as being the #1 world leader from whom they would buy a used car -- Obama's biggest achievement???

There is far more existing mainstream evidence to support President Obama as being an epic failure, than there is any existing counter-evidence to support him as being anything else more substantial!

If you believe this statement is false, then please post your proof to the contrary here.

Can't you just smell the pinkbagger spin? Pinkbagger propaganda that from a pinkbagger determined to spread more of her pinkbagger lies and certain to appeal to all her miscellaneous pinkbagger alteregos on this site and a few other actual pinkbaggers. Isn't it great when the slaves stand up for the lies that keep them in chains? That's what the pinkbagger preaches.

I would have loved to watch the entire 60 minute interview but Obama was so rude I couldn't take anymore. I was swearing at the TV. Everytime the guy would ask him a question, Obama wouldn't let him finish and would interrupt him and talk over him and after about 25 minutes of him being rude I switched the channel. OBAMA SHUT THE HELL UP AND LET OTHER PEOPLE TALK. Were you not taught this growing up.

Pink Mindy, you are going to take note of a Craigslist survey???? I am so sad you are allowed to vote! Craigslist is a bunch of degenerates! So who do you actually think will do better than Obama? Some crazy republican that will gladly take away our rights over tax us while giving the 1% even more tax breaks? Please get a clue! Your ignorance is what got Dubya in office TWICE and therefore created the mess we are now in!!! It is easy to get into trouble, but not so easy to get out!!!

President Obama currently has a 50/50 percent chance of re-election and He must have decided that the 'blame game' was His best campaign strategy.

"Hold Obama To His Word" ... Because He Hopes America Has Suffered Amnesia @ The Baltimore Sun

It must be extremely difficult to support a candidate that has still established absolutely NO kudos of greatness to date.

Obamanomics is only continuing the U.S. bankruptcy and Obama only pulled the military out of Iraq for Campaign 2012 value points ... My question is where is He going to later re-deploy those removed troops ... IRAN???

Obama = Rich Elite 1%! ...

And Obama has absolutely NO idea about being the 99%!!!

Liked that comment a lot! Excellent post!

Well Mindy it seems there are many here who just can't stand the truth being told about the annointed one. Very sad to find out there are still so many dumbed down Americans running amock. Glad to say most are very awake and aware now and extremely irate at this joke of a President.

Keep up the good work Mindy. As long as they are slinging rocks at you the story is right on target! Good job!
