You've just got to be kidding!! ... After destroying the American economy, tripling the national deficit, blowing another trillion failed stimulus dollars and nearly doubling unemployment ... Fourth Best President Ever??? -- Simply UNBELIEVABLE!!!

President Obama must be campaigning for 2012 under the assumption ("Hope") that Americans are suffering from complete and chronic amnesia.

Just no other possible explanation for his recent irrational behavior, that's all ... Go Figure.

Obama; Narcissistic Definition
By Mayo Clinic staff

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other people's feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

This article was posted on care2 already....apparently Pink only post things but never reads anything posted by others but hey...what the heck...the rightcrazywing/racist/teabaggers and assorted political ding bats [in my opinion] need something to distract from their fascist minded congress persons who are doing the real harm to the nation and the rest of us....even if this an old story that has been posted by another already. I do believe that being anywhere but the worst , whch Dubya Bush won that title hands down, is ok regardless of their political party. Of course it is only fair to say that the majority of people believe Nixon to be the next worst,to that of Dubya, with Reagon being third worst. So the list of best is a tad better to be on than that of worst me thinketh :-).

Well, Jae, its like religion; if all you do is rely on your pastor for guidance and follow his/her instructions you don't have to worry about actually thinking. In the same frame, if you only watch Fox News' propaganda you don't have to strain your brain figuring out the truth because you know that Fox has already done that for you. It appears there are a lot of people that aren't capable of thinking for themselves.

Honestly I don't like any politicians and don't think presidents really have any power and people shouldn't expect everything from them and they aren't going to be able to change everything and be perfect anyhow they are just one person

Saying this I do say I like Obama but I don't pay attention to politics really so don't really know what he has done in his presidency but I wouldn't claim he is the 4th best president, he is quite conceited for saying that which isn't a good thing

Wow, you lemmings who commented agreement to this... did you even bother to watch the video? Where in it did he even say he thought he was the 4th best pres.? He spoke of pitting legislative action in foreign policy against other administations. Do you realize that even that bit was taken out of context, that it was in relation to how much more there is to be domestically? And as for what he's accomplished, how short is your memory? Can you say 'Bin laden', & that's just 1 name on the list of Al Qaeda he's picked off. Here's a link to read if you really want to know what you're talking about, unless you prefer to spend your time tapping away short-sighted, moronic, biased ramblings... http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/post/obama-and-the-fourth-best-president-in-context/2011/03/04/gIQAyHGZ9O_blog.html

He's not claiming to be the best President or even the fourth. He was talking about making decisions in foreign policy and he named three presidents that he thought had accomplished much in times of turmoil, from the Civil War to the Great Depression, and he was simply drawing a comparison that translated poorly on television. He's certainly not the type to jump up and wave a banner, be it Mission Accomplished or I'm the Best. We have come to know that about him. He'll probably have to start "bragging" (for him) during the campaign because obviously Americans have shown many of them need to be hit over the head with bragging. And I'm with Terry King-he is the best President in the past eleven years and I believe during his second term he will have more opportunity to work with a Congress that will actually complement, rather than try to tear down, this extraordinary President.

NObama was instrumental in getting wolves delisted and now they are being murdered viciously in Montana, Idaho and soon Wyoming! He did this to try to save Tester of Montana's Senate Seat even though tens of thousands of people objected to the rider being on the "riderless" budget bill! NObama does not care for the environment, public opinion (said he would listen in the campaign), only his own agenda and he is a big oil whore - letting drilling into the Arctic and allowing BP to drill more in the Gulf with "voluntary" safety regulations! We know how that worked out. Vote independent - break the party hold - we need to be Americans again, not Repuglicans or Dumbocrats! I will do just that or write ins - the GOP is certainly anti people - corporate whores!

Obama inherited the task of cleaning up the capitalistic mess started by Regan...He is failing...He is just another puppet...I remember his speech and how he chastised Bush...Now he is swimming with the sharks...and liking it. He has wasted time, he has lost focus...why did he condemn horses to slaughter ?? ! This was a huge waste of legislative time that goes AGAINST the majority of the peoples wishes...it just shows where his priorities lie, the spelling was on purpose...dealing with smaller tasks in the wrong way makes you wonder how he's gonna roll on the biggies...

Republicans keep repeating the same lies over and over again so people will believe it is true. I don't think that Obama is the 4th best President, but the fact is that he has not made the economy worse. We were in a situation that economists called the Great Recession because it was the worse recession we had since the Great Depression. It started during the G.W. Bush administration. The actions that Obama took to stimulate the economy actually did help. We had been losing an enormous number of jobs every month during the Great Recession. In March 2010, we finally began to get an increase in jobs in the private sector. It has not been enough to make up for the big loss of jobs but it still was an increase instead of a decrease. In addition the problem has been a loss of jobs in the public (government) sector. Many states and local governments have been cutting funding for schools, etc. and have been laying off teachers and even policemen. Obama would like to help those states and local governments but the Republicans will not let him do so. Still the fact is that our economy has gotten better than it was before Obama took action and the economists said that it would take a long time to get the economy to be very good again but if nothing was done we would have gone into another Depression.

Obama is 4th best.......and Emperor Bush Jr. thinks that he's the best. Sorry but at least Obama isn't claiming he's the best, and Washington wasn't really the best. He was good, but he wasn't all that good. At least Obama doesn't have the overblown ego that the GOP has for Reagan or the traitors, Bush/Cheney.

For Jae A: Regardless what you may think people may think about the Reagan , and Nixon presidencies, their terms were tanked in the upper third (Reagan), and Nixon in the next grade.. The Presidents were ranked years ago, broken up into thirds: Great, near great, and failures.Sorry to disappoint you.
For Fran C: When did a person's political beliefs have anything to do with ones" philosophy of caring'? Don't give garbage about Social Security, Medicare, Medicade, Food Stamps, welfare, unemployment benefits, unemployment entitlements, etc. ALL of this was created by the Democratic Party, and has become due to corruption, abuse, lack of controls, have become a muti-billion drain on the economy.
If there wasn't a two party system in this country, a lot of these entitlements would have been bankrupted by now. Caring? It is because the right sees that there is a need to overhaul, these agencies, that they still exist. Throwing money into them will not solve the problem.
Now, as for Obama, either he had a temporary lapse into senility, or he truly is a man living in a delusion.

This is really amazing but sad at the same time to read so many ignorant comments surfacing like unsightly zits on a dirty blog posted by an equally ignorant PinkMindy. Something is definitely wrong when a blogger posts and then makes more comments on her own blogs than her readers do. Those of us who do not drink the kool-aid and are not disingenuous know what is going on and don't buy into it Mindy so get a clue.

P. S.....Moments ago the Repugs caved in on the bill to extend the unemployment benefits......How you like them apples Mindy. Their world which you so enthusiastically champion is crumbling down around them and will take people like you with them..... They knew they could not keep up the facade much longer without digging a deeper hole for themselves then they are already in.

Marian D., it may have something to do with the study that was conducted that found people who watch no news at all are better informed than those addicted to Fox News. Fox News viewers were found to be the least informed with No News just above them and the best informed were those who watched a variety of News which included those who watch foreign news such as Al Jazeera.

Windy Eames, paying attention to what is actually being said isn’t real high on the agenda of people that rely on Fox News for their information.

As for Obama having only a 50 – 50 chance of being reelected, well if the 2011 off year election is any indication of how the 2012 election will go, republicans are in trouble and the current obstruction by House republicans isn’t helping their chances of defeating Obama. The losses that republicans suffered were a clear indication that people have woken up from their stupor and are paying attention to the fact that republicans are in the pocket of the 1% and are determined to destroy this country in order to defeat Obama, but their attempts are backfiring now that people are finally paying attention.

Obama never said he was the fourth best president. That's just typical right-wing spin and as usual the dummies bought it and became so outraged. He said “The issue here is not going be a list of accomplishments. As you said yourself, Steve, you know, I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president — with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln — just in terms of what we’ve gotten done in modern history. But, you know, but when it comes to the economy, we’ve got a lot more work to do.” Doesn't say he's the fourth best. That's all in your tiny little minds.
And by the way, folks, learn about how government works before you criticize any president. There's not a whole lot a president could do without cooperation from congress. And the teapubs in congress have stated that their number one priority is making Obama a one term president. Notice their number one priority isn't creating jobs or fixing the economy. These people who you think are so cool have blocked everything that could have created jobs just to make Obama look bad. So get your heads out of the dark place and see what's really going on. And you don't find that out by watching Fox.

Hey Pink, why would he say he was the 4th best President, why not the best President, the numero uno, number 1 President? As usual, your little article is just another Repug barf-up against Obama. It's really rather boring. If you really cared about America, perhaps you could come up with some constructive ideas and not just Obama bashing. If any of the current Repug contenders were to be elected, every one of the would end up being worse than Obama. Obama can't do anything because the Repugs in Congress fight him at every turn. Nothing is getting accomplished in Washington and that is because of Congress not Obama. It is nice to see that even the tea baggers have a place in Care2 which is ironic.

Pink Mindy, you and the GOP and Fox "news" and the rest of you sheeple would complain that Obama can't swim if he was walking on water! Get a clue! He NEVER said he thought he was 4th best! He DID get a Nobel Peace Prize for a reason! No, he is not perfect, he is a politician after all, but he is the best in 11 years!

I support what Marilynn M. said in that this United States has had enough SHAME LATELY. We had 8 whole years of shame with Bush, as he was the laughing stock of the world. Most countries distanced themselves from us, thinking we had all lost our minds in ever letting him become President, even though he did it through unfair means.

And, now, we have the Republican Circus of candidates, thinking that somehow they are capable of being President of our country. And, we have the shame of having the Greedy Obstructionist Party, playing their silly obstructionist games whereas our world credit rating was diminished, and currently they just about cost most Americans an extra $1,000.00 a year by refusing to grant the tax relief extension!

This, in spite of their BS that they are for cutting taxes. Of course, for them, this means cutting taxes only for the super-rich and mega-corporations, while raising taxes on the average citizen, and screwing them in every which way they can. These Greedy Tea Baggers/Republicans are true manifestations of the anti-Robin Hood, in that their whole desire is to "TAKE FROM THE POOR AND GIVE TO THE RICH"!

We need to truly DIMINISHING THE SHAME BY DIMINISHING THE PRESENCE OF THE GREEDY OBSTRUCTIONIST PARTY! And, after that, clean up the greed and stupidity that exists in the Democratic Party, albeit to a much, much, less extent than it does in the Greedy Obstructionist Party.

Fourth best is too high for someone who gives in to the Far Wrong at the drop of a hat, but let's give the Publicans credit. They were all for the frenzy of deregulation that enabled the crash, and the crash itself, as well as the first round of bailouts, happened on Shrub's watch. Since then they have done everything they could to obstruct recovery efforts. They cling obstinately to myths about voodoo economics and trickle down, indifferent to a thirty year record of unbroken failure. Corporatocrats sit on trillions of dollars without investing a penny or hiring anybody; but John Boehner chants that any plan to keep them from getting more for doing nothing is "job-killing class warfare." Meanwhile peons in the breadline are supposed to revive the economy by spending money we don't have.

Let's face reality. Publicans don't mind class warfare in the least; it has been a highly successful policy for them the last thirty years. The only thing that really gives them hives is the Occupiers fighting back.

Sam T. - You are so right on the mark, and this is an excellent article. If only we could get some of these close-minded Republicans to read it. Would you at least read it, Pink Mindi, and open your mind just a little??? And, in harmony with this article is an interview on NPR recently with the, multi-billionaire, founder, of Amazon.com

He expressed in no uncertain terms that it is absolutely not the big corporations or the super-rich that create jobs! He explained how corporations only have two objectives; to make as much money as they can, and second, to do this with the least people/jobs as possible.

He said the only way that corporations hire on more people is when the middle class “holds a gun to their heads”, in that we, the middle class, demand more products than they can produce with their minimum work force.

He expressed how corporations will continue laying off more and more people if no one can afford to buy their products, and how crucial it is that the middle class have more money to spend. He was almost pleading that congress raise his, and all the super-rich taxes so that it releases the stress off the middle class, and he clarified how it is in his best interest, and all corporations best interest, for the middle class to thrive!

This is so obvious to me, and hence I ask in all sincerity, why can’t any of you TeaBaggers understand this. Or, do you understand it, but you’re just so super-rich, and super short-sighted that all you can think about is your immediate greed - get as much money as you can today, even at the cost of destroying the whole system?

To me, this is similar to over-fishing and destroying the future of the whole fishing industry, or like Haiti did, cut down all their trees for immediate gain, while destroying their environment and having no protection for the torrential rains that are washing all their top soil into the ocean.

Pink Mindi - can you truly not understand and wrap your brain around this??? This is a serious question about a no-brainer issue.

I agree with Wendy Eames. Obama never said anything of the kind! This is just another radical, argumentative G.O.P. bashing to gain attention and a bit of credibility for the circus of clowns that they are arguing about as far as WHICH clown to put on the 2012 ballot.

To the various people who think Obama isn't all that good, I guess you just wanted him to wiggle his nose and instantly straighten out the massive, massive, deficit, and horrific nightmare that Bush had created during the eight years he worked so hard at destroying our country. In reality, DESTRUCTION, - what Bush did is very easy and can go extremely quickly, whereas construction is always much more difficult, and always takes much, much longer, no matter who is doing it.

Just watched the nightly news and Obama finally, FINALLY got the REPUGS to cave a bit. He was calm, cool and collected, but said he'd HAD ENOUGH.

Why on EARTH would he compare hmself to the first President when there wasn't even different political parties,or to Lincoln, who isn't the best President, by any means, just happened to be in office when the slaves were "emancipated" and made a famous speech. The point would be, however, that Obama never even said he was "4th best" behind Washington or Lincoln, whatever!

Gad, I'm sick of this B.S. Read the front page of one of the tabloids in the check line at the store today. It said something stupid about Bill Clinton SUPPOSEDLY saying Obama was the worst President EVER. Funny, since he was on a talk show recently and supported Obama completely, said he has been literally HAMSTRUNG and not able to do a thing because of the G.O.P's nonsense.

There is no possible way that President Obama would say what you are all accusing him of saying. First, it is totally out of character for him to brag about himself. Never happened. Second, He IS the best president we've had in decades, and I anticipate, with great excitement, his reelection in 2012, and bringing with him a filibuster-proof Democrat majority in the House and Senate. Let's get to work, and reap the benefits of this brilliant, sane, courageous, even-handed, compassionate man! AND, as for Bill Clinton, in a hundred million years he would never say anything bad about Obama. They are good friends, and Clinton said he and Hilary support him 100%. Where are people getting these stories???? The extreme right (wrong) wing of the republican-tbagger GOP: Greedy One Percent. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!

I am so not surprised that yet another steaming pile of ODS bullshit lies has plopped from the mouth of the Pink One. What 'rest of the economy'! The Repugs had already provided tax incentives to Corporations to ship American jobs out of America add to that the fact that every time the so called Repug "Job Creators" have been given tax cuts or more loopholes or tax deferments they have shed more and more American jobs for Americans in America. As to the lie about unemployment, odd that Obama has added enough jobs to counter the drastic losses from the Bushy Repug economic disaster and begin adding them. As for the diarrhea about 'Failed Stimulus", why are there so many photos of Repug Governors and Politicians holding giant job creating checks with their signatures on them that were drawn on Stimulus money. How did Rick Perry manage to balance the Texas Budget TWICE with 63 Billion in failed Stimulus Dollars.
Pinky, you can lie and spin your self into the ground but the fact is your Obama Derangement Syndrome is only contagious to those who already want to believe the imbecilic pap that dribbles from your foam cover lips. Take your meds and go back to bed.

Pink - apparently you did not watch the video or, if you did, you did not "get" it. Obama never uttered those words. He may, in fact, become one of the best we've had. You brought up Bush, who is one of the worst - let's see, 4,487 service people killed, 103,775 Iraqi's killed, over $805 billion and counting with no way to pay for it and not to forget mentioning the thousands maimed coming home to nothing thanks to the thugs in the GOP. Take off your glasses Pink, you are not seeing things clearly.

Wishing everyone (including you, PinkMindi, Diane O, Jeffery, et. all) GREAT HEALTH, HAPPINESS, and the most WONDERFUL NEW YEAR. And, even though we may have differing perspectives and opinions on many things, hopefully we can all come together to at least acknowledge that PEOPLE'S: HEARTS, HEALTH, and HAPPINESS is truly what matters most, far more than any amount of money, power, or stuff ever could. Can't we, at the very least, agree on this one realization?

Maria, "Mean"? I truly think your reading comprehension skills are a tad lacking. If you actually watched news, understood it, or bothered paying attention to WHO is behind the removal of all of your civil rights and benefits, it's the G.O.P. and people such as Ron Paul and Michelle Bachman. Whoops, forgot whats-his-name, Speaker of the House. If they have their way, you might lose the ability to post nonsense like that on the internet, since you might not be able to afford access, might have to EAT your computer to survive, and certainly will end up being censored for what you say in public.

I would rank him 1st but no lower than 2nd. He not only won the Nobel Peace Prize, he also has been the most lethal enemy of terrorists by killing Obama and many of his commanders. Then we can get into saving General Motors the worlds' largest auto manufacturer. Bringing pay equity back. Getting the US out of the Irag War. Creating thousands if not millions of new jobs. It just doesn't end.

John B. - You are right on the mark and for any who disagree, I would bet that they don't even have the courage, guts, or sincere interest in truth to even do a Google search on: "Obama's Accomplishments".

I did such a search a couple of times and even I was amazed at just how much he has accomplished, in spite of the Greedy Obstructionist Party, the Party of NO, the Party of Hate (especially towards women), as demonstrated by Rush Limbaugh, the GOP's mouthpiece.

Not to mention, if the Republicans had taken office in 2008 we would certainly not be out of Iraq, not be exiting Afghanistan, and we would be deeply mired in a massive war with Syria and Iran and possibly the beginning of a World War, with China and Russia jumping into the fray.

And, we would be many, many, more trillions of dollars in debt due to the GOP escalating more and more wars, plus giving millions and millions of dollars to their super-rich buddies, and Big Business, with nothing to show for it. And, our environment would be much less healthy and much less beautiful as it would be for sale to be used and abused by the highest bidder.

Thank goodness it looks so promising for Obama to keep his position as our President!

Well said, Eddie O., and don't forget that every one of the jokes that the G.O.P. is putting out there would have all the women in the country barefoot & pregnant, no access to womens health care needs, such as abortion or birth control, and let's not forget the best one, Santorum thinks anyone who thinks an education is a good idea is a snob. Out of the three, not sure which is more despicable. As a woman, and an animal lover, I'd have to say that so far, Newt hasn't been quite as bad as the other two. Yeah, Mitt's a real animal lover......takes his dog with him everywhere.......stuffed into a container strapped on the roof of his car.
