My dear sweet Agnes,
Words cannot express how your loss has affected me personally, as well as all of your friends and family sweetie.
You give so much from the heart, offering to listen to my troubles when you have had your own, and always ready to jump in and help on every cause.
I still do not know how you managed to do as much as you did.
Just know that I think of you as a shiny star in the sky, one of the brightest I can see, and I know you are looking after your family and friends.
I love you amiga, always.

For Agnes:

Feel how our loving gaze
Is lifted to the heights
That have called you away for other tasks.
Offer the friends left behind
Your strength from out of spiritual lands.

Hear the plea of our souls
Sent after you in trust:
We here need for our earthly work
Strong power from spirit-lands,
For which we thank departed friends.
- Rudolf Steiner

My deepest condolences to Agnes' family and friends.

Agnes had a huge heart ! May the Compassion and Grace with which She 'watched ' over us all, and Her unfailing Inspiration which guided us beyond our own abilities to perceive and respond faithfully, now be with her husband and family. Her 'works' here on earth had length and breadth encompassing a vision of absolute Truth and Wisdom. As we here at Care2 honor our Beloved Friend , my Soul Sister, our heartfelt prayers for Peace and Renewal rise as the "Phoenix" Illuminating Heaven's Throne for all Eternity.

Every time I think of you Agnes, I feel a deep emptiness in my heart, knowing you are no longer with us on this earth. I cherished your friendship so much, and admired your tenacity to do what ever you could for those in need, especially the animals and the trees. You will forever be cherished and never forgotten....may you watch over those still in need on this earth, and rest in peace up in heaven surrounded by beautiful trees. May we one day meet in person, so we can catch up and hug a tree together. Love you my dear friend Agnes...... :)

To Agnes' family......you have my sincerest condolences and sympathy on your loss......may you find peace in all the wonderful memories of such a beautiful angel.....she lived a long full life, and made such a difference in this world. Bless you all......

To the family and friends of Agnes Corbett, I did not know Agnes personally or thru the site, but after reading everything she accomplished between her family and her causes, our world will be a less eceologically safe place without her. I think God saw everything she did and brought her home to teach his angels so they in turn could inspire us mortals on earth. When I hear a bell ring on my Christmas tree this year, I'll know Agnes got her wings. Go with God! Patricia

I miss her so much. She was honest and authenitic - a REAL person, and I will always miss her as a friend-we "talked" via e-mail and comments almost every day. I know that her family must miss her so much. My heart and sympathy is with them. They are not alone in grieving the loss of this beautiful spirit. I feel that she is here in the very air we breath because someone like Agnes is a light that never dies. She is in the wind, the trees, the flowers, and the beauty of nature everywhere.

Agnes is a beautiful soul full of starlight that will shine bright forever. She touched so many hearts and taught so many people to love...love the earth, love each other, love the animals, love for all of life. Not just a feeling love, but a DOING love...the kind of love that really matters. She reached out and touched so many lives in a positive way, and her work will continue on as a result. In our hearts she will never die, and we will remember the love that she gave. You can be so proud of her. She spread goodness all over the world! She will be greatly missed. My prayers are with all those who loved her and love her still.

My heartfelt condolences to the Corbett family and close friends, Agnes is free, but she remains in many hearts. She has not left us, she has only left this plane. You will find her in the sparkle of the stars, the flicker of the firefly, the soft breeze that touches your cheek. Agnes was among the first few people who welcomed me to C2 and I would often email her and she me, always ending with a Brazilian tree hug. I remember with what joy I celebrated your country's beautiful sculpture being chosen as one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World. Agnes' photo is still on my friends page; the testamonial she wrote for me ever visible. A perpetual virtual candle will burn on and on, just as her influence and work will continue as she would want. Agnes absolutely understood about love: that you have to spend it all--you cannot hold any of it in reserve.

My love and heartfelt condolences bridge the physical distance between us. She is nearby, waiting for you.I know you have this giant ache in your heart, but Shakespeare put it this way: "Do not let your grief be measured by her worth for then your sorrow will have no end." Please hold that thought in your minds and hearts for her worth is uncomparable.

Agnes-I miss you still, my dear friend...I always will.
They say that when God needs help on Earth- He sends an Angel; be it in human or animal form. Before birth, I believe Agnes was given the mission to be one of the Angels that was sent to help heal this Earth as well as the lives of those she touched. Now God wanted His Angel back home with Him-she worked hard. :)
Blessings to her wonderful family-thank you for sharing sweet Agnes with the world...may you find comfort in knowing she made the world a much better place. She truly was the change she wished to see in this world.

This is a testimonial of gratitude to all who sent messages of love, admiration and condolences to the Corbett family.

Agnes was my blood sister and in our family we called her Ines. We were 10 kids - seven brothers and three girls born from a devouted Catholic couple - a Belgiun mother and an Irish father. Ines was the 7th child and I was the 9th. We used to say that we were the "second batch" because between Norah-Marie (the 6th child) and Ines (the 7th.) there was one still-born baby boy which made a four year's gap between the two older girls.

You are all correct when saying she was an angel - she was indeed!

Ines (Agnes) had no children from her marriage and my two sons, Maximilliann (who lives in Rio) and Luiz Felipe (who lives in Houston, TX) where her kids as well. She was so proud of them as she was of my second marriage's daugther Krissa Corbett Cavouras. The two boys were with her in April of this year when Luiz Felipe went on his yearly visit to Rio. They told me she was a bit sad but did not elaborated on the cause.

Back in July 14, when she was hospitalized I called her everyday from Providence, Rhode Island and all she said was "I'm ok, I'll be out of here soon so, please don't come because I'll think I'm dying". However, my son Max visited her at the hospital and called me with the news of her deteriorating On July 29th, I took a plane to Rio where my son was waiting me and we drove to Terezopolis arriving at the hospital at midnight. The hospital staff was kind enough to let me visit her for five minutes. By then, she was so weak. After that it was downhill - an induced coma to help the antibiotics work on her lung's infection. She was moved to a better hospital where I left her serene in that coma. She was not suffereing anymore. Neither phisically nor emotianally! I kissed her good-bye, begging her to stay strong till our return in September. However, on Aug. 26, God took her under his care to a better and peacefull place.

The trip my husband and I had book for Sept. 04 had four empty days - the ones we would spend exclusively with her! Those four days empty days are ten fold multiplied now. My sister Ines will continue looking after our kids. She was a giver! A wonderful, irreplaceble giver. One huge heart!
One wonderful daughter. One amazing sister!

Thank you all for your kind words. God bless us all.
