1. Each and every one of the so-called ethics-in-government complaints were dismissed after a lengthy, costly, distracting & needless investigations.
2. Each & every ethics complaint was a dirty politics move by Democrats & so-called "progressives".
3. It is shameful the way "womens-lib" people & groups failed to support for Mrs. Palin's rights & dignity- especially allowing chauvinistic attacks & cheap, mean commentary by the male-dominated media!
4. "Reproductive rights", aka Abortion - Mrs. Palin CHOOSES NOT to have one. Why the criticism of her "right to choice". The position taken by the mean, outspoken NOW leaders is hypocritical & petty. Shame, shame.
5. When the size of packs & their power exceeds the natural sustainability & resources of the herds - a similar condition we see in the current "liberal", "progressive" Congress & Presidency - tyranny & destruction of balance occurs. Mrs. Palin approved a measured response to those dangers.
6. Reduced size & spending in Alaska's historically wasteful government gave more back to her citizens for individual responsibility & entrepreneurism than any other Governor in recent history. As such, protection & advancement of natural resources from over development made great strides.
7. Mrs. Palin's tireless efforts to seek recognition of & support for children with developmental handicaps is well documented. Her outspoken call for laws to protect children from abuse & cruelty resulted in State legislation addressing this horrible problem.
8. The personal smears & attacks by such groups as NOW, other feminist individuals and, worst of all, male critics, are lower than the lowest - especially when Mrs. Palin's accomplishments to achieve the highest office in Alaska & powerfully implement a solid agenda of women's rights in a traditionally male-dominated political machine are acknowledged.

Given these truths of Mrs. Palin's beliefs, ethics, accomplishments and personal integrity, especially when compared to the previous legislative & executive waste and pilfering of money and natural resources, I am sad to see her resign. Her stated reasons for resignation are Faith, FAMILY and political turmoil. Why is everyone so gleeful? We all have lost a good person and champion of wise use & preservation of the natural resources in the last American wilderness: Alaska.

Sarah Palin has used her appearance to appease and draw to her, the American Christian-Republican woman. There are a lot of them. Has anyone noticed - yet? how many women in TV commercials are now wearing clothes, glasses, and hair the "Sarah Palin" way. I don't think it will work the way she wants it to.
Her horrible handling of the alaskan wolves and polar bears is to let "men" know they can go up there and be "real men" by murdering wolves especially, and getting $250.00 for a left foreleg for each wolf they kill.
AND, killing baby wolves, still in the den, by shooting them in the head, or throwing in poisons.
Would any rational human truly want a woman like her, in congress, or as president? I don't know. Any of you? Rose Palozola

Leon,I really don't care if the investigations turned up nothing. Palin is a barbaric evil woman without any moral or ethical values. I'm glad she is gone, and I hope her career is over permanently.

I agree with Panthera wholeheartedly. My sons told me the news of her resignation & they like me laughed with joy knowing she no longer will be promoting the slaughter of Alaska's wildlife. She is a disgrace to all females everywhere.

Hmmm! Fascinating! Unborn children are being annihilated for reasons that would make you vomit and people are picking fights against a women who hunts, who had to deal with the overpopulation of wolves and who supported her pregnant teen-age daughter in her decision to keep the child. Where did we as a society go off the tracks. Let's deal with the barbaric behavior of abortions, specifically partial birth abortions. One and half million human lives have been aborted per year since 1973 and can be aborted well into the third trimester. And Sarah Palin is barbaric? Am I missing something here?

Palin used terrorism wishful thinking to incite riots, hate, and if she was good for Alaska ...the lady has lost her calling and doesn't know it. Like all those who were chanting,"She is full of the Holy Spirit".
Maybe she is moving to the Vatican?

Her hate mongering, lies, exaggerations, and hypocrisies leave me sickened knowing how she infected her narrow righteousness to justify a war that had nothing to do with 911. All the while N. Korea has gained an 8 year edge in it's nuclear abilities.

She is repugnant, manipulative, self-serving, and a masterful liar. I think she is hoping to be the Mistress of Cheney, with so much in common.

She was despicable and damaging, and abusive with the power rented to her at no cost to her own.

Deanna,

First of all, embryos are not human beings. Second of all, this is NOT a thread about abortion. Keep it on topic please or I will flag it for inappropriate content.

As far as there being an overpopulation of wolves, there WAS NOT. She only wanted to kill off wolves to increase population of game animals for hunters.

Maybe if Palin had spent more time being a decent parent instead of killing animals, her daughter wouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place.

You "conservatives" just kill me. You complain about what Obama is doing now, but where were you when GWB was running up our debt by the trillions?? HE is the one who left the economy in shambles, but you'll blame Obama now. HE is the one who expanded government programs exponentially, but you'll blame Obama. HE is the one who took us to war illegally, but you'll blame Obama. HE is the one who broke law after law after law, but did you call for his impeachment or indictment? NO! But now you'll blame Obama.

Really, pull your heads out of your collective rear ends and actually LOOK at the truth. Quit getting your "news" from the likes of Fox or Limbaugh, et al, and find out the truth! Do a little research and you'll see just what a complete fiasco the Bush/Cheney administration was and how much it damaged this nation.

Oh, wait, I forgot that the TRUTH is entirely too scary for you folks. You illiterate folks who cannot write a coherent sentence, cannot read an actual article of NEWS, who cannot think for yourselves, but instead rely on idiots such as Colter, Limbaugh and Hannity for your supposed "information".

Guess what? We "progressives" are the ones who are looking out for YOUR constitutional rights. We "progressives" and "liberals" are the reason you aren't working 80 hours per week for 20 hour wages. We "progressives" are the ones who think our nation should be governed by LAWS and not just stuff we pull out of the hat when it suits us.

Yeah, we're really a horrible bunch. We want clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, good schools for our kids and soil that will actually grow something not "invented" by Monsanto. Okay. I admit it. We're anarchists and fascists who want freedom and democracy that actually works. You got us!

Are you kidding me? Get a life, get an education and get a brain!

Oh, and one last comment for those so-called "conservatives and Christians" who are so very concerned about medical procedures on another person's body" : If you want all those unwanted children to be born, YOU better be the first person in line to adopt that crack baby or that AIDS baby. AND YOU better be the one NOT complaining about paying higher taxes to support all those kids. AND YOU better be the one lining up to PAY for MEDICAL BENEFITS for both the mother AND the child - including until it has turned 18 years old. AND YOU better want to PAY MORE TAXES for all the counselling and help that kid will need after it is abused, raped and tortured by parents who weren't capable of providing love and care. C'mon, all you damn hypocrits....step up to the plate to take care of all these kids you are oh-so-concerned about....UNTIL BIRTH! You want to make this about abortion...well, give me some answers then!!

I would love to see Palin have criminal charges against her. The wolves were on the endanger animal list, they were protected, and she blantantly disregarded the law. I don't know anything about her work in Alaska, wether she did anything positive or not, and to tell you the truth, killing the wolves and their pups wipes out anything good she did. She also, reminds me of a child who lies, and has to think up more lies to cover up the lies. I remember the interviews she did, saying one thing, and then having to change her story. I honestly hope her political career is over, because she gives women of all careers a bad name.

Okay...I've been out and about doing my day off errands, and breathing the smoke that has been generated by the more than numerous forest fires here in Alaska. All of it being blown furhter up North into the Interior
I come to check on things on the Sarah Palin drama to find a "Past Member" posting drivil that is not even close to real numbers concerning our wolves here. Anyone can copy and paste...but live here? NOT.
Going to a state run site that is preapproved by the said governor and her henchmen is hardly the truth.
The wolf bounties are back in force of days of old, and REAL HUMAN BEINGS THAT LIVE UPON THE PLANET AND LIVE AMONG THE WILDLIFE HERE KNOW THAT WOLVES HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH PALIN'S DEATH HUNT UPON THEM. BUT IT DOES HAVE TO DO WITH IS MONEY, MONEY, MONEY...OUT OF STATE HUNTERS WANTING TO RECEIVE A PROMISED A KILL ON THEIR BRIEF 2 WEEK VACATIONS...SORRY FOLKS. BUT IF YOU ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO PAY THROUGH THE NOSE TO SOME BIG BAME TRACKER...NOT GET YOUR KILL...TOO...TOO BAD. IF THAT'S THE CASE....WHY NOT SIT IN THE CAB OF YOUR RIG AND SHOOT FROM THERE? IT'S TRULY WHAT THEY REALLY WANT. BUT THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. NOT AS LONG AS I LIVE AND BREATH....
These wolves are not living on this planet for big trophy hunters to either obtain a big moose, nor to collect a wolf pelt to brag and tip beers withyour buddies here.
So copy and paste till the cows come home...it still is not the truth...but rather PALIN'S SICK AND TWISTED HOPE TO TURN ALASKA INTO A SAFARI HUNTERS DREAM.

But since you won't even create a real profile then I will have to come to the conclusion that you hide behind the "Past Member" name as not to be idnetified as a person who has been booted in the past...or even a favorite of a member of Support.
I call them as I see them.
You can even be a supporter of Palin for all I care, but never, never pretend to know about the wolf population nor their existence here in Alaska. Palin has always been for Palin, and never about the people, least of all the wildlife here in Alaska.
The truth has come home to roost in Palin's world, and the sooner the better. It's what you do unto others...and it's come home to sit on her own front porch.

I gave a green star in noting your comment on wasteful spending. But not a single other issue you raised.
For Palin cares little about any other children but her own, for surely a good human being would not persecute innocent children from another country as her church has done in Africa. A bit self serving, and thats all she has ever been.

Leon: You are very defensive of a proven liar, manipulator and devious person. On your comments: # 4 It is well known that Sarah Palin, if in a position of power like being the V.P. or President would immediately start enforcing her religious views pertaining to a woman's right to choose to control her reproductive right, including birth control and force all women into her view of what she thinks is right for others. # 5 Pack size has nothing to do with Sarah's wolf slaughter. "When the size of the pack and their power exceeds the natural sustainability and resources of the herds"..you certainly cannot be referring to the wolves this sadistic woman has murdered. Humans fit your description much better than any other animals on the planet who have exceeded carrying capacity, when will she decide to go after them? # 7 Sarah's tireless efforts for the mentally disabled are well known, she was the one behind cutting the funding for Special Olympics in Alaska She is the one who uses Trig as a sympathy prop at her convenience for the media eye. She has also exploited her children since she came out on the campaign trail. She is also the same person who cut funding for the programs that aided unwed teenage mothers in Alaska and also wanted rape victims to pay for their own forensic rape testing kits. BTW Alaska has the highest number of rapes in the United States. Also Wasilla is known as the meth capital of the world, while she was mayor there and it still is very active in that business.
Just to start with. Sarah Palin also tried to sue the Fish and Wildlife Division because they would not take polar bears off of the endangered list as she wanted so big oil could drill in more places. It is illegal to kill baby wolves in the den as Sarah Palin has allowed to happen. Anyone who has educated themselves on wolves would know that they are not over populated, catch less than 3% of the game they go after, those animals they catch and eat to survive are the sickly, unhealthy, old or very young of a herd. By leaving the healthiest alive to continue to breed, unlike human killers who kill the best of a herd often the meat left to rot, leave the unhealthy animals to renew the herd with sickly offspring. Humans destroy the healthy herds and not the wolves as Sarah would have those unenlightened people to believe.
As for cutting the wasteful spending in Alaska, as long as her Alaskan people don't pay for it she didn't mind spending it, like the bridge to nowhere, she was all for it before it became fashionable to be against it. And the sports complex in tiny Wasilla, the same contractors also helped built her mansion with the same materials. windows etc, used in this sports complex and another building for her family. Can you say corruption? Any criticism was brought onto her by her own actions and statements. I cannot feel sorry for her when the truth comes out and she cannot handle it. Notice she always blames everyone else for her dilemmas when in fact she started them. No, no sympathy for her here.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SARAH PALIN & WILDLIFE

http://www.grizzlybay.org/SarahPalinInfoPage.htm

All facts about Sarah Palin are backed up by links to credible news sources.
This page was created by Alaskans and has been online since 2007- with updates.
1) Palin offered a bounty of $150 for each left front leg of freshly killed wolves

2) Palin promotes aerial hunting of wolves even though Alaskans voted twice to ban it (VIDEO)

3) Palin used $400,000 of state money to fund a propaganda campaign in support of aerial hunting

4) Palin believes man-made global warming is a farce

5) Palin strongly supports drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

6) Palin is a champion for big oil and her slogan has become "Drill, baby, drill!"

7) Palin is suing the federal government to prevent listing the polar bear as an endangered species

8) Palin sues the federal government over listing Cook Inlet beluga whale as an endangered species

Sarah Palin spent $400,000 of state money to "educate" Alaskans about aerial hunting of wolves and bears. State tax money was used to directly influence the outcome of proposition 2 which would have limited aerial shooting of predators. Since Alaskans had previously voted twice to ban aerial shooting of predators, Palin used state tax money to buy support for aerial shooting. Buying votes with tax money worked - proposition two was voted down on 8/26/08.

Read more about Governor Palin's "predator control" policies and the use of state money to slaughter bears and wolves.
http://www.akwildlife.org/content/view/121/61/ This year the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game will exterminate 1,400 bears out of a population of 2,000 in an area west of Anchorage. The Alaskan Board of Game even approved the hunting of black bear mothers and cubs with the goal of killing 60 percent of the black bear population.http://www.defenders.org/newsroom/defenders_magazine/fall_2007/defenders_in_action_alaskas_war_on_wildlife_persists.php?ht Although biologists have known since the 60's that predators actually keep prey populations healthy, Alaskan wolves and bears are being exterminated (using cruel practices such as baiting, trapping, and aerial shooting) to boost dwindling moose populations. Do we really want a leader who doesn't believe in science?

Sarah Palin sues the federal government over listing polar bears as a threatened species.http://www.reuters.com/article/environmentNews/idUSN2145097820080522
She doesn't represent Alaskans! She represents her special interest groups!

Why? Because it could restrict the oil industry that fills her pockets. This is the same reason she wants to open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for oil drilling. Read Governor Palin's ignorant op-ed piece here. Palin believes that global warming is a myth.http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/05/opinion/05palin.html?_r=2&oref=slogin

Sarah Palin's voting record supports development of the Pebble Mine - the largest open pit mine in North America. Pebble mine jeopardizes the entire Bristol bay ecosystem which contains the largest sockeye salmon run in the world. The mine could pollute an unprecedented number or rivers, lakes, and bays. Although Palin claims that the mine would create jobs for Alaskans, it may effectively destroy the commercial and sport fishing industry in Bristol Bay - the main source of income for Alaskans in Bristol bay. Pebble Mine's potential for pollution makes the Exxon Valdez oil spill look like a tiny grease stain. Click here to watch the NY Times video story about the environmental destruction this mine would create.

The Alaska Board of Game makes most wildlife decisions in Alaska. The board is comprised entirely of trophy hunters, and not a single wildlife biologist or scientist is a member. Also lacking is any representation from Alaska's wildlife viewing and tourism industry. The most important decisions about wildlife in Alaska are decided by ignorant sport hunters with a total disregard for science. Palin even appointed her former middle school basketball coach to the board.
Palin Appointed Middle-School Coach to Board of Game
http://washingtonindependent.com/5607/palin-appointed-middle-school-coach-to-board-of-game
This morning our science reporter Arthur Allen explored the bizarre world of aerial wolf hunting, an Alaskan activity supported and actually furthered by Gov. Sarah Palin. There’s a small facet I’d like to add to that story.

Alaska’s Board of Game is a seven-member body that meets throughout the year for purposes of “conservation and development of game resources.” Hunting is an important part of the local culture and attracts tourists. You’d think Palin would find the most qualified people to sit on that board.

In Palin’s judgment, one of the most qualified people she could find was her retired middle-school basketball coach, Lewis D. Bradley.
Palin — known these days by her high school basketball nickname, “Sarah Barracuda” — has frequently described her childhood sports career as a formative experience.

To be fair, on Bradley’s resume (here), he notes that hunting, fishing and carving antlers are special interests of his. He also points out that he is working on a sheep hunting guide book, though the writing progress has stalled since he started remodeling his house.

I checked out the payscale for Board of Game members. It looks like there is an hourly rate of $31, for a job that meets 20-25 times a year, according to the description. Travel expenses are also covered, including a per diem — not that it’s possible to abuse that

This article is on Sean Parnell as being the "new" governor of Alaska.

His background includes having worked for ConocoPhilips before taking a job as the deputy director of the Alaska Division of Oil and Gas.

Sean's profile, oer Wikipedia, does not list any religion and was very recently updated on 7 July 2009 at 03:13.

Another link does not list any religion and is left as a blank: http://www.votesmart.org/bio.php?can_id=8892

If I remember correctly, he is a member of the same "church" as sarah palin.

Looks as if Sean Parnell is cleaning up his image so he can run for election as Governor of Alaska in 2010. In other news sources, they were saying that Sean is up for re-election as governor.

As I'm writing this, a thought popped into my head... What if sarah palin was asked to step down as governor by other people more powerful than her... The puke party is in such a disarray these days that they are afraid of losing a state such as Alaska for oil & gas resources, money. The Oil industry is afraid to lose the state to a, gasp, a Democrat because of the sinking popularity of palinsane..

You remember the mantra for the gop convention - "Drill, Baby, Drill"

TY, Wolfweeps.
