Deb thank you so much for caring and sharing these petitions which I posted to Twitter.
Every action we take to save our rainforests protects wildlife and their natural habitats, species of flora and fauna unlike any other anywhere else in the world, helps reduce C02 in our atmosphere, and equally if not most importantly, protects indigenous peoples of the region whose survival depends on the rainforests that has sustained them for generations.

I invite everyone on Care2 to join me on tree-nation.Just send me an email address where I send your personal invitation to join. You can plant trees there, or just simply water your friends trees, help to save our Mother Earth and Father Sky, our animal relations and our rainforests in countries like Madagascar, Nicaragua, Niger, Oronico River Basin.

Some petitions to save and protect indigenous peoples are posted in my forest Protecting Indigenous Tribes & Campaigns.
Please sign this petition, thank you.

Thank you Deb for another consise and well presented article. All petitions already signed, or signed today - for what's it's worth. Humans seem to have this illusion that they live in a vacumn - that they are somehow not a part of this natural world, and that whatever happens to all other life somehow does not effect them. You see this sort of thinking everywhere. I don't know what to make of it anymore. I can understand that greed motivates people in industry who stand to gain from the exploitation of natural sources; but I fail to understand the indifference or complete disconnect of the average person. Well, I guess I do understand it - the natural world to our minds became a dangerous and forboding place, and we have worked very hard to have as little contact with it as possible. Hence : the end result.

People don't realize that we are talking of OUR closest COUSIN,

SHARING 97% of his DNA with US!!!!!!!

Consequently, Orang Utans (Men of the Forest) are more genetically similar to US

than to MONKEYS!!!
