The Reagan Rule brings balance back to the tax code, which is the first step in a long line of problems that need to be resolved to get the American economy back on track.

Let me understand this. Reagan's "voodoo economics" are the key points of Obama's recovery plan? Isn't that a kick in the Democratic bum...

There is a difference......President Reagan was speaking of the deductions and loopholes used by the Rich (those that lower the effective tax rate) President Obama's focus is more on the subject of the tax rate itself.

The Buffet rule would only increase the tax rate, the rich in turn would only further expose those deductions and loopholes.

It is those deductions and loopholes that are the real issue. But it is interesting to see our President/advisers are doing their research!

Reagan was the pig who started the transformation of this nation into a corporate plutocracy. How far this nation has slipped can be measured by the absurdity that his tax plans are now considered reasonable, even moderate. Had we not had Reagan, much of the political extremism on the right would have never have happened. The Gipper may have only started the ball down the field, but his political descendants have carried much further than his wildest hopes would have ever let him dream. Long may he rot.

of course, Mr. Reagan is way to considerate and thinking to be elected now...i.e. would be considered a moderate and liberal for the Greedy Old Politicians of the 2010s....
