The worst thing of all was, it all was planned from long hand: If official Israel did not have so many aggressors they would not get that much aid from other states for military aid.
I am so sorry for those Arab minorities most despised the religion and only can think, a just peace can result by Israeli citizen, forcing their evil warmonger government by peaceful protests/blockades of economy to go.
Israel, then imediately would lose it's role of a poor victim in world and be welcomed with open arms in world community.
Look up Gush Shalom (Uri Avnery - an Israeli Peace activist for decades now)

Very interesting, thank you. I find it difficult to sort through the Israel mess. Every account claims to be truth, and they never agree with one another. I guess this is why the hatred and violence level is so high.

It will take me some time to get through the article, but will comment when I am finished. Am still trying to follow the history because it is only the past year that I had been exposed to anything that sounded like the truth, but how we got here is certainly been a lie by Israel until now. So, as Lisa H. said every account claims to be the truth but they never agree with one another. I do not doubt the validity of the attached report, but want to "digest it" and not just say I noted it and that is that. I prefer to build some knowledge granted my recall is not perfect.
Thank you for the article Parsifal and Dana. Cannot give stars to either of you nor to Lisa at this time.

Parcifal, international aid is not linked to aggressors, but the political influence. Palestinian Arabs are surely doing much better that citizen of many African countries, not even to mention that they are World Best Paid Eternal Refugees - they still get various "aids" from all over the world. Obviously, not because they are most needy - because they got all Islamic block with all its OIL $$$ behind them.

That block set West to support UNWRA which is racist by nature - all that vast money is given to only one ethnic group - Palestinian Arabs - and ridiculous in making ALL descendants of Arabs ever who EVER lived in Israel as refugees, again, the rule not applicable to any other group of population.

Bob, do you really think that all you said makes any differerence to the average Palastinian? It's not a matter of "the Palastianian Arab doing better than citizens of many African countries" or anyone else. It's a matter of their rights being stolen from them, their BASIC human rights. They want back their homes that belonged to them, that they were forced to demolish or that were demolished for them with a charge attached. The Palastinian Mothers and Fathers want back their children that were murdered for no reason, and precious familiy members killed. They just want their rights to be given back to them. Why should they settle for less? WOULD YOU?? There is so much meaningless talk going on. The whole world knows what happened in Palastine is nothing but a Human Rights Disaster. There is nothing to add to this. And the next disaster is that Israel gets away with any crime, any defiance, anything at all, while the world watches. Nothing can ever compensate for the loss and torture they suffered. Any child who will hear the Story of how the State of Israel came into being will immediately sympathize and cry for the Palastinians and their plight. Where there is no justice, there can never be peace.

Sandra, Palestinian Fathers and Mothers have to get courage to tell their Arab brothers: YOU started the war with Israel. YOU told us to leave Israel to wait in safety while WE will be killing Jews. It is YOUR responsibility to treat us like humans, like Israelis did to Jewish refugees kicked out from Arab states.

Until Palestinian Fathers and Mothers do NOT have courage to demand it from Arab states and prefer instead to be pawns in their games, they will get very little, and their misery in the concentration camps of Syria and Lebanon will continue.

Neither West, nor Israel have to pay for foiled ambitions of Nasser, Arab leadership and masses who refused to compromise and share The Land of Israel with the Jews. This is the justice.

Peace will come if both parties want peace. If Israelis want peace, and Palestinians want to kick them out and destroy Israel, there will be no peace.

That supposed "star of David" in the illustration is fuzzy at best and looks to be part of a larger design, anyway.

Tattoos of any kind are a violation of Jewish law, although there has been some leniency since the Holocaust for those wishing to wear the Nazi KZ number in memoriam.

There are heroes and villains on all sides of this issue. Not least of the villains are those who obediently buy the narrative of propaganda fed to us by our own politicians, bought and paid for by multi-national corporations and their puppets in government, seeking to profit by maintaining the status quo established in the region as a direct result of WW2 and the cold war.
If the "right of return" and democracy continue to be secondary to religious "purity" in Israel and the occupied lands of Palestine, there can be no real justice, and consequently, no real peace. The Palestinian people deserve no less consideration of their lives and property than the similarly-dispossessed victims of the holocaust in Europe in the 20th century.

And perhaps, you could answer me is it then a coincidence you selected a hound avatar?

And terry, is'nt it interesting you posted something, which I said to one of my friends, in a private mail, meant a joke? ("I have to ask, "Did you forget to take your tablets again?" )

And terry isn't it amazing to which degree you distract from the topic, Dana posted?

Terry B. said, "Whoa, Parsifal, what was that all about? Even with allowance for the fact that English may not be your native tounge, I have to ask, "Did you forget to take your tablets again?"
That was the sum total of our comment which was an intentional slap at another member here. Is that really necessary? It says more about you than about Parsifal, and frankly it is a big turn off. If you have nothing intelligent to add then keep your fingers still. That is a reason I deleted you as a Friend, cause you are very caustic.

Terry B and Bob ducking and weaving, denying and deflecting FACTS admitted to by Israeli leaders. Your pathetic cover-up for the reprehensible behaviour of Israel is nearing an end. Too many fires to put out boys. The ugly truth is leaking out of your Israel is the victim bag of tricks. The article states how Israel invaded Lebanon twice but you continue to assert it was the other way around. Israel has the right to exist and defend itself, not the right to invade, murder, intimidate, annex, bulldoze and steal land. Pretty simple really.

The solution to this ongoing drama lies in compromise- and the earnest desire for a solution fair to both sides -herein is the major difficulty,

I think we forget that there are many Arabs and Jews of reason and good conscience who are fighting an uphill battle to live safe, peaceful lives while dwelling in the middle of this toxic, swirling zeitgeist of mutually claimed religious entitlement and Divine right. Their intentions are buried under the weight of deep-seated, long-standing hatred. Religion, ethnicity and politics have become so intextricably interwoven that finding clarity or sanity in this complicated quagmire must seem like an impossible task.

I personally believe that Religious fundamentalism leads to a kind of insanity. The Believers are certain that however much blood they have on their hands, they are innocent because their acts of violence and terror are sanctioned by God, etc. When the other "un-Godly" side engages in this behavior, it is held up as proof of their inhumanity and immorality. Every kind of genocide, bigotry, oppression, and slavery have been justified referencing "biblical authority".

Israelis are not evil. Arabs are not evil. They are both gripped by a horrific, hard-to-treat mental illness:

Religion.

How many countries have played this game of funding counter groups for the purposes of infiltration and control and had their benevolent hands bitten off??! The CIA's relationaship with Al Qaeda and the Talliban and of course Israel immediately springs to mind and no doubt our own millitary intelligence played the same silly games.

Generally ad hominem comments reflect more on the character of the speaker then the person it is aimed at. Keep it civil, intelligent and polite. Let's debate, not berate!

Do you think that people never heard of Nasser? That they never heard of Damour Massacre? About Black September?

Trolls like Bob/Terry are their government last fothills of attempts of world dominance but soon it is all history as oppressed Israeli ppl realising they were abused for most evil plans.
Each day more and more refuseniks declare rejection of military duties and would never kill their brothers and sisters from Palestine.
If this country would like to survive, Israeli government must be given the sack. No American (AIPAC) or German (3 state-of modern warfare submarines for free) aid could save such a rotten government.
And these funny troll is protecting his rotten fascist regime.

As for Parsifal, perhaps I can make a brief reply if he ever says anything coherent. All I can get from his ravings is that he is rabidly anti-Semitic, which is to be expected from a Croatian, speaking of rotten governments, a country that was one one Nazi Germany's most compliant allies.

Yes Bob Israel invaded Lebanon twice. They are still occupying southern Lebanon. I get my facts from Haartz, Straightgoods, Jewish Voice for Peace, the New York Times, the BBC,CBC,PBS,NPR,ABC,alJazeera,NBC,ABC and the library. Yes I have heard of Black September, they are terrorists. People who use violence to change political opinion or gain power. Much like the policies of Israel and the US. Who both invaded and occupied foriegn countries, terrorizing the inhabitants, soley for the political and financial gain of the ruling class.

Terry, why do you choose to demean people? Surely being "retarded" is no more a stigma than being caustic. People of low IQ deserve as much respect and dignity as anyone else. Excepting of course Bush due to his war crimes. People who believe Jews are evil reveal themselves to be imbicilic and therfore not worthy of polite discourse. As are people who feel the same about Arabs or Canadians.

Bob, that is the trouble, everyone has heard Israel's side. No one can even question Israel's record without being accused of anti-semitism or of being a terrorist sympathiser. Israel murdered a Canadian Major who refused to abandon his observation post and the Canadian government gives them political cover. An aid flottilla is attacked in International waters and nine people are murdered, and the storyline is spun as aid providers are dupes of Hamas. Israel as you must surely know is guilty of atrocities every bit as bad as the Damour massacre, they just never get called on it.

It's rather stating the obvious, in that the Israelis want all of Palestine as their own and, after this action has been consolidated, what next for their expansionist goals?
They have never wanted to negotiate, in fact, it has always been used as a fig leaf to cover their true objectives, which are now coming to fruition, thanks on the whole to American support, without which it could never come into being as the obnoxious state that it has turned out to be; in fact, had circumstances been different and malign outside interests been rigorously opposed, then it may just have had the opposite effect, that of a gradual integration of Palestinian and Jew living alongside each other in reasonably peaceful harmony, as it should have been.
You may all consider it wishful thinking.
However, it's very unfortunate for all those peoples living in this constantly volatile Middle East region. Thanks America, thanks Europe, for helping to bring this about.

We should be very concerned since zionist leaning Jews own 52% of the financial markets and they control (own) ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and 24 newspapers on the east coast, etc. Just Google Jewish ownership in the U.S. There are 500,000 of them in Miami. They are opening Consulates in various states around the country, building them at this time, one in Texas just opened. A representative of the consulate of Texas gave an award to the representative in Arizona just a week or so before she was attacked. They are building support in individual states now for Israel. Yes, she is Jewish, but should be non-partial in the performance of her job. I doubt her constituents are more than 50% Jews.
After they run off the Palestinians, the Jews will not stop, in my opinion. We cannot let them do it. With $3billion a year of our money, stop that. Call your legislators and tell them no more financial support to one of the most wealthy countries in the world. They are good to their own people, but consider non Jews as Goiym, no more than cattle or pigs.
Please Google, "The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion" and read it as well as the introduction to it. You will see history is unfolding as that book directs.
There is reason to worry. I love Jewish people and am not an anti-Semite, but believe that the ones who are leading them in Israel need to be replaced with peaceful and true decedents worthy of leading the Jews. There are a large groups of Rabbis who are protesting against Netanyahu and his gang of thugs in Israel but you will not hear about it on the Zionist controlled news stations.
I worry about Hilary Clinton's preferential attitude when she is seen with Netanyahu. It is as if they have been sewn together at the waist. She is not impartial, and should be replaced.

Good grief! There are victims and villains on BOTH sides. None of the leaders have the best interest of their people at heart. Once a blood feud is begun, there will always be right and wrongs from both contenders and it carries on from one generation to another. And this sniping we are doing with another is SO very Republican.
Any religion that demands an "eye for an eye" is just making an excuse for an indefinite war. And, as far as the anti-Jewish remarks, they are coming from a point of hate which is exactly what we need to do away with. we need to be AGAINST WAR, NOT PEOPLE. Let us be civil and courteous... if we cannot do it, how can we expect our politicians to do it?!?
