For every action there is a reaction. According to the law of karma, if we cause

pain and suffering to other living beings, we must endure pain and suffering in

return, both individually and collectively. We reap what we sow, in this life and

the next, for nature has her own justice. No one can escape the law of karma.

I hope these poor dogs find a loving home with someone who truely cares for them. Hope the POS who dumped them are abandoned and alone in their life. This is cruel. Those dogs do not know what is going on a d why they are there.

You know their owner may have died and the person handling the estate couldn't keep them. That could be the reason no information was given about them.

We saved Sarge and Bro. Canela was adopted. These two have a chance provided members network. Has anyone Googled California spaniel rescues?!?!?

On September 29, Brownie and Cookie, Cocker spaniels, were surrendered to the Downey Animal Care and Control in Downey, Calif.

The dogs are now two of nearly two hundred dogs locked inside of kennel runs at the animal control facility.

Unfortunately, a good majority of the dogs who are at this "shelter" will never know the comfort and love of a home again.

Little is known of Brownie and Cookie - aside from the fact that they are listed as seven years of age and not altered.

There are no behavior notes of concern, nor indications of sickness or injury.

Nor are there notes about what their favorite food or treat is. Or their favorite past time.

Do they enjoy walking on the beach?

Do they love to race after a ball or would they prefer to rest in a quiet living room by the side of their favorite person?

Unless they leave this animal control facility, nobody, aside from their unknown prior owner, will ever know.

Please take a moment to network for Brownie and Cookie. The key to saving a life is raising awareness.

How can people dump their animals and especially at an age when the animals rely on their owners most. This is tragic.

Noted - I would take them without hesitation, but I live in Cape Town. How sickening and cruel to have done something like this - its monsters like these that need to be tortured to death. I don't think I would have any problem doing it.

Sent off an email to all the rescue groups you listed, Michelle. I hope someone rescues these poor dogs soon, whether into a forever home or into a rescue that will keep them until such time that someone adopts them. Thank you for posting and thanks Michelle for the email.

"Elena Marin" I talked to Cocker Connection today. They did in fact rescue these two (and a few others at Downey) A"ND their 3 puppies which were born at the shelter! And the shelter was not even aware she was pregnant.
