The archons are intrapsychic mind-parasites who access human consciousness through telepathy and simulation. They infect our imagination and use the power of make-believe for deception and confusion...

...If I saw a sign that said that, I'd probably stare at it and be very confused and slightly concerned.

I think we already have enough problems as it is. We don't need Hollywood to make up more.

I watched this movie once. Not a very good movie. And I've never heard of pagan gnostics. I have read some material on the Christian Gnostics. They were an early Christian group who thought a little differently than the Roman Christians and they disappeared.

Cute-what an excuse for Paranoia and schitzophrenia=
Like Patricia I have only heard of Christian Gnostics (thir century AD Egypt-Source of the "Hermetica" a book very influential in the Renaissance as it was thought to have been written by Moses.

However have come across an interesting slant on this-John Dee (og Magi fame in Elizabethan England
consequently hanged drawn and quartered) was a physician to Queen Elizabeth and went to Poland where he bought a book which purported to be written by people who knew thwt there were entities on Siruis that lived by causing wars and disasters and cultivated us a bit like cows so that they could harvest our negative emotions and subsist on us.

The book was in a strange script(I cannot remember if that script was supposed to be native to Sirius); However the book was deciphered by Colin Wilson et al with a use of a computer in the latter part of the twentieth century

um. OK.

The title here makes it seem as though the extraterrestrials created the movie to warn humanity about some shared danger.

A little off-center, perhaps?
