Well the role of women in Brazilian society I would hazard to guess has far more to do with Brazil being 73.5% Roman Catholic than Carnival.

This article would have us surrender our humanity. Of course admiring beauty is a woman irks some. Enjoying sex irks some too. So we are all objects of one kind or another. So what? This sounds like sour grapes to me as there are no real figures nor anything but whining. Yes there are cultural gender differences. In the American culture are not young girls given dolls and told to play housewife while boys get trucks and told to be breadwinners?
