Some of us members might also have problems with their green stars like me, mine are night showing up even after I log in and it tells me I have received 20 new stars but they are not showing in my pms or my on my kudos page so to all the people who have sent me stars I thank you very much even if I don't. know who they are from as I cant see them, I am sure care2 will fix this Glitch soon I shall continue sending stars with hope that you get them, Thank you

Thanks for posting Rose. I am having the same problem and I am having difficulty redeeming my butterfly credits. You can change your Care2 settings so that your Green Stars, and any personal messages, go to the e-mail account that you have registered with Care2. Hopefully Care2 will sort it soon.

I am also experiencing this "Glitch"; & I hope that it will soon be resolved. I try to respond to every star sent to me by paying it FWD when I find a star sender's positive action on other treads; but you cannot very well do that if you don't know who sent you the star. My dashboard says I got some today, but kudos stopped adding yesterday and my email request hasn't led to any just like daily action, news junky, daily causes and most daily healthy living do not arrive (the last I get one every 7-10 days). To whoever sent, I give thanks. Also noticed most ecards sent yesterday didn't actually go until wee hours of this morning.

On care2support's profile page on his billboard it tells about the green star butterfly points problem that they are working on, I think they started working on this when they were doing site maintenance a few days ago, it also says they hope to have it all fixed within a week if I remember correctly. It tells you where and how you can check them in the meantime. There are directions on his billboard how to do this. Hope this helps.

Oh guys! I think I get all the notices of the green stars!! I get them two or three times,from the same (only one member) friend! Also the birthday notes from Care2
I have an other problem...my butterfly credits!! I can not open and donate them any more....that sucks! If I ever see them on my site and try to click ...they are gone! That makes my angry! I want to donate them,if that's not possible,I rather close my site for good!
The only answer from Care2 is the automatic blaa blaa blaa and nothing else happens!

Hi Bill, I am getting notifications for both messages and green stars through email, I followed the directions on care2supports profile....it did work for me as Howard Crosse said above.

I did check the link Bill put up above and that is correct as Bill said, it is exactly the same info that is on the page I mentioned, both places gives the same info on how to change your notifications.

Correct--no more messages in message Inbox about stars and supposedly can get in email if your notifications are set that way but many get none of their selected email notifications, a problem existing for about a month now.
Also, butterflies are not working right on comments on profile pages--getting 3 credits with 3-6 comments and other inconsistencies. And a little while ago I got a one point thanks for visiting despite having gotten 100 with my daily streak earlier today.
Lost count of the messages of frustration I've received from friends about all the things not working right.

Thank you for explaining what is going on Bill C, I guess that in common with many Care2 members I hadn't seen the discussion. Many of us will not have done so because we either didn't know that it existed or simply didn't have the time. I appreciate that Care2 is busy, this is great and clearly they need to do everything they can to keep costs down so they can maximise the amount of money they give to charity but the flip side of this is that they need to keep people interested and engaged. There is a big danger, as other social media sites are finding out, that by mucking around with things, albeit after consulting with those who have the time/knowledge to join in a forum that you have set up, you will end up with people losing interest in your site. If this happens, and it would be an awful shame, then they will no longer have to worry about being too busy! I hope that someone from Care2 reads this and listens, if they don't then sadly a topic for the the next forum might be to consider why they have lost so many members and that would be a real shame!

Many problems now Rose, stars as you mention, butterflies, butterfly redemption rip-offs and now I'm only here three days when I've not missed a day in years! Some fix! oh, and support doesn't answer!

If you click on my care 2 and then my care 2 main, top right hand of page, scroll down to click view all stars, they are all there. Takes a minute to load and is a quick way of returning stars in one go.

I'd be happy to go back to a green star once daily in order for it to show up on C2 and not on my private email as I only use that for non C2 issues.....I personally don't want the two to morph into each other. I also liked the Kudo's part when the stars would show up there, and I'd be perfectly happy if I could go there to see who had sent green stars and not have to see them in the C2 messages. Sometimes the Kudo's is working sometimes it is not, and frankly I'm not sure if that is a section staying onboard or not. Is it only that we'll see green stars by sending them to our private email?
I agree with Howard Crosse in what he has stated, I've known many like John Gregoire, that have either left all together or has cut their time back on C2 greatly. Loss of interest is a clear danger and when people keep on dealing with one glitch after another, do not get their issues taken care of or have a source removed that at least was helping them that way. Everyone tends to have their limit of what they want to tolerate or deal with.
This site has had a long run.......but with so many other things vying for our time and attention that doesn't at all guarantee it will continue. So I hope they can resolve things that are in a technical way for as you say Rose all do not have great computer strengths and many do not know of particular groups they can go to. It takes some time to roam around C2 and find out these things when one first comes on board.

Many in the F&S group are also saying they'd prefer things be fixed first. There are still photo album challenges. Although the web search function was promised to be fixed over a year ago, with those who still test to see whether it is fixed finding no stars attached any more it looks like that will not return to service. The Shares function was announced to end in June (along with all content being removed so if you want anything save as a pdf now) due to spam problems. Captchas are present on ecards always now due to spam and no longer arriving outside of Care2 consistently as scheduled are also issues raised in F&S FYI.
And as I suspected, the funky one credit as if I'd signed in again replaced my 100+ day streak with today showing as day2.

I have blinking dots beside my butterfly & green star credits symbols both on my kudos page & my profile page. There is a total # of stars listed on my kudos page; but that total is nearly 200 pts. different that the # on my avatar pop-up. There is no star total listed @ all on my profile page & all the redeemed butterfly credit purchases have been deleted off my profile page. Not receiving star notifications even after I have tried the procedures mentioned by other posters here. Some times I receive a pop-up star notification; but it will say: "____ & 4 others sent you stars." So to the other 4 out of 5 star senders, I have to say, "Sorry, I can't reciprocate; bc I have no way of knowing who you might be......."

@Bill C.thanks for trying,but I couldn't get anywhere! Like Dandelion here,I really do not want the mail in my normal e-mail box about the green stars! The Care2 mailbox would be enough!thank you.
But the main issue her,is that it doesn't help any of us to know how many butterflies we have...if these is no way to use them!! If you see my point?? So if this is the future here...just writing and signing the petition,no more possibilities to donate the credits we had...so I'm done here!-and I'm afraid I will not be the only one! You are now ruing this marvelous system,such a shame!

It's great that members are stepping in to try to help each other, maybe someone at Care2 could help those who haven't come across this post. Nevertheless I still can't understand why Care2 seems to have made a simple, tried and tested system more difficult. Dale O, thanks for the suggestion about the avatar, if I knew what an avatar was, in the Care2 sense, I'm sure it would be helpful in letting me view my credits but how do I redeem them? The button that says redeem credits, which seems to be the obvious place to go, no longer works! Surely staff at Care2 know there is a problem, or at least a lot of confused people, why don't they at least say something that those of us without the time to go hunting for answers can see.

As of today the look and some of the content and navigation of your My friends page has changed, also My groups and ecards. I can tell there are some occasions it will be far too unwieldy to try to send ecards to friends for with what is no longer visible and changes on navigation so have to go through whole alphabet to get to the end.

I am still new to this, but I get notified through my e-mail it isn't an e-mail on care2 they aren't giving that option anymore- you have to give a personal e-mail acct.

C2 now has it fixed so one can go to the upper right corner of the page and under your name is a drop box. In the drop box is "my green stars".....click there and it opens a page (formerly called kudo's) that will show all the green stars and who sent them. Therefore by using that it isn't necessary to send them to a private email unless that is a choice you care to make.
