The dam will cause a mass flooding of the already endangered Amazon Rainforest, in doing this it will destroy thousands of natives homes, innocent people will die, lose their land, their rights and way of life, animals will lose their homes...

Noted, tweeted, tweeted, tweeted, signed and shared. It is necessary to save the Rain Forest for the future of our planet, our children, grandchildren, and their children. Once it is destroyed, it's irreplaceable. It will cause destruction of people, homes, wildlife, greenery, trees and eventually our atmosphere. We are on the road to destruction, not necessarily for us but for our future. The only ones profiting are those into money, power, and control. They don't care because they won't be here, but our future generations will pay a bill much worse than the money they will have to pay to pay down our debt. Our environment and planet is far more important for life than our economy.

"Some 20.000 people will be homeless, thousands of animals killed, thousands of acres land lost, animal habitat lost not for a short time but for all time." Just about sums up the reason I s&n. Thanks, James.

Noted and "signed" with comment: "Hydroelectricity is definitely not an ecologically acceptable source of energy. Solar panels and photovoltaic cells installed on the rooftops of houses and large buildings are much more acceptable sources of energy. Biomass and biofuels are also not acceptable because they compete with food production for agricultural land and/or contribute to an increase in the destruction of forests."
