Puffy Paws Kitty Haven offered to help a struggling pet owner, but the original adopting rescue forcibly took the cat away from its owner and Puffy Paws. What is in Midnight's best interest?

I have Sydney this weekend,, she was kind enough to allow me to have my pc for a few minutes :) I will read this Sunday when she goes home. My long time friend Lori is a huge supporter of Saint Francis (I am assuming this is the same one) and this would be the very first negative thing I have ever heard about them. Again,,, assuming this is the same Saint Francis sanctuary. Post this to We are family in the world of animal rights. That is the group I started to help all the care2 people stick together,,,, along with introducing others to hard core animal rights issues

Absolutely inexcusable behavior by the so-called rescue group. This poor baby has a family, a woman that could not afford medical bills, now paid. Send this cat home. Please take a moment and call for Midnight to be returned to her family. The phone number is 941-492-6200.

This is St. Francis Animal Rescue in Venice, Florida; not to be confused with the one in Tampa who has been getting a ton of unwarranted hate mail.

This is definitely not in Midnight's best interest. Recovering in familiar surroundings would be best for Midnight. It is highly unlikely that someone else would want to adopt Midnight, an "older" cat with a medical condition. There are so many rescue groups and shelters in this area that are always full of cats and kittens looking for homes. Midnight should be able to stay in her home. I have heard negative comments about St. Francis over the years. I did work with Chrissy Kingston (Rick's wife) briefly many years ago, and I have nothing but praise for her. That vet (referring to the invoice pictured) is cheap! My vet would have charged twice as much!

What ever they have in that contract is crap. If any one takes my cats (they had been abandoned to begin with but that is not the point) there will be some issues with that. I want to point some thing out always find out what is in contract before signing it. Talk to them to find out if any of this is going on at other no kill shelters.

Give the cat back now--she belongs with her loving owner.

Reunite Midnight and her owner. Period.
And shame on St. Francis for adding to the stress already being experienced by both Midnight and her owner.

My thanks also to Rick of Puffy Paws for trying to help mediate an amiable, workable result..

please keep us up on this Catherine 🐈 💕
