Thank You for Taking a Stand for Universal Health Care. We are so behind in the rest of the so called civilized world. This should be a no brainer. People work better when they feel better, whether it is a bus driver, teacher, or someone working on my teeth, I don't want them doing so if they are sick or in pain. We need to have paid time for being able to see a Dr. and to do as they say, if it's contagious to be able to stay home.

With our great medical innovations, our state-of-the-art facilities, and our brilliant physicians, we have the potential to provide the best possible medical care to every one of our citizens. Our delivery system, routed as it is through rapacious insurance companies concerned only with profit, is antiquated and stymies what could be magnificent health care for all.

We should have single-payer, which would be the most beneficial for all.
President Obama wanted this system, but he was fully aware that he could never get it through the House.

One payer was what Obama wanted in the first place and the republicans beat him down. Republicans stood up to protect Insurance company profits. They stand for big business not the people.

If there is to be improvements or replacement of the ACA, single payer is the only way to go. Other than that, leave it alone. America should have a single payer system. Healthcare for all is the fair way and the right way to go!

The petition begins with these startling words: "In some countries, the idea of insurance companies profiting off the sick and dying is morally repugnant." It makes me sick to admit that our country isn't one of them.

Gladly signed and noted!

Universal Health Care, should be considered a human right, not a workplace optional privilege, or a purely private expense. Public health is a public concern.
Any system that limits or restricts access to those who can afford it are inherently inequitable, unfair and indecent. Equal access to health care, so that the most vulnerable in society may access the system, is the humane and decent thing to do. Private health insurance should be an optional extra, not the only provider mechanism. People on higher incomes could be encouraged to take out private health insurance, but a safety net should be provided.
