Sixty years of massive, ongoing, coldly calculated human rights abuses against the Palestinian people. That's the legacy of the State of Israel. Americans pay the bills for this tyranny and our hopelessly corrupt news media and elected officials go along

I take a bit of issue with Richard Curtiss' remark regarding spending time in the mideast and coming to believe (that things are not as presented to us). I think that anyone who pays any attention at all, knows that we have no business supporting Israel! I questioned the situation long before I saw the photo of the child throwing a rock at a tank. That cooked it for me. I have been a staunch supporter of the Palestinians ever since.

Thank you Gregory. It is a video that I wish could be shown in every home in the U.S.

There are a number of things, politics, events and as such going on in the World where USA American Citizens are unaware of or know next to nothing about them. This is one of those "things" going on as I write... USA is a "propagandized" country... whether we want to admit it or not... We see and hear about them everyday in C2 but next to nothing on TV or even the newspapers... What do we really know about Iraq as an example...

TY, Gregory.

Tnx Gregory, the video speaks for itself, and it's scandalous, you don't see or hear anything about it in the media.
But it's not only in the USA ... in our country, and in England we have the same issue.

But you need to know why!
It began in the 70s when in one of the ways in which the African Am Community could begin to get
…a cultural debt………

In March 2006 the American political scientists John Mearsheimer (University of Chicago) and Steve Walt (Harvard) published the controversial article 'The Israel Lobby and US foreign policy'. In it they state that it is not, or no longer, expedient for the US to support and protect present-day Israel. The documentary sheds light on both parties involved in the discussion: those who wish to maintain the strong tie between the US and Israel, and those who were critical of it and not infrequently became 'victims' of the lobby. The question arises to what extend the pro-Israel lobby ultimately determines the military and political importance of Israel itself. Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson (Colin Powell's former chief-of-staff) explains how the lobby's influence affects the decision-making structure in the White House.
With political scientist John Mearsheimer, neocon Richard Perle, lobby organization AIPAC, televangelist John Hagee, historian Tony Judt, Human Rights Watch director Kenneth Roth, colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, Democrat Earl Hilliard, Israeli peace negotiator Daniel Levy and investigative journalist Michael Massing

I have to credit an amazing journalist, Charles Levendoski, for having kept Wyoming abreast of the truth about Israel and the Palestinians for

How can America NOT support Israel???? Look who has all the money and economic power in the US. No explanations or excuses needed. Speaks for it's self. I think that's why the statue of liberty wears a blindfold - she doesn't want to see all that stuff

- every-one has been brain-washed from the "Beginning"
.. eastern, western, black, white, red yellow, all religions..
- total, all inclusive,.. almost completely the opposite.

..it's just that the "eastern" world, has been allowed to know
about consciousness,somewhat,.. and the "Western" world's
chosen brainwashing "religion",and subsequent,.. society,
has made them believe, that all the unrestricted thinking is
delusional, or as the "Western" Doctors(and society) have
been trained to call call it,.....
- Bipolar,.. or nuts, or delusional, whatever,..
- definitely in need of medication.

- natural, totally unrestricted thinking, is totally discouraged,
..in all ways, by all facet's of life, especially, the "Western"
world's chosen brainwashing "religion",and subsequent,..
society.

- consciousness, ascention stuff, the secrets of the
universe it seems, have been known forever, just forgotten.

.. every-one has been.."totally" brainwashed, into thinking
its delusional ..

- to think, "unrestricted".. is delusional,(bipolar, nuts, wacky)
.. like, Jesus(consciousness),
- Einstein, (relativity, gravity, e=mc2)..which is bull, and has
restricted everyones thinking, since, to those limitations.
Davinci, Tesla, Dali, .. all the Genius's - Artists. etc.

.. just try to say something, outside the box,
- to almost anyone, on this planet,.now,
.. especially in the "Western" world.

.. you will be introduced to pharma, mind control drugs.
- and if you continue to think "outside the box",..
.. you will continally, be introduced, to more pharma drugs,
- until you are unable to think about anything.

.. it has been a very effective "plan" ..

We people in the first world, including the U.S.A., have alot of access to this information from the media - the ALTERNATIVE media, the NON-CAPITALIST media.

Most media is capitalist media: I mean the corporate media - e.g. ABC, CNN, NBC, Fox News, Time Magazine, the New York Times, the Washington Post, etc. (privately-owned corporations, which in many cases get much of their funding from corporate advertising, and in many cases are part of corporate conglomerates which also own other major corporations, such as General Motors, General Electric, and Westinghouse). And I also mean the government media of capitalist countries, with capitalist political parties in government, e.g. the BBC. Anyway, the capitalist media will naturally give a distorted pro-capitalist picture of the world, so it is unrealistic to expect the truth from them.

Anyone who thinks about this (or has a closer look at the way the media works) can see that it is true. Therefore we chose to get our information from the alternative media, the non-capitalist media. Here are some alternative, non-capitalist media that I recommend -

Democracy Now (a radio program which is broadcast on many community radio stations, and also has a website)

Internet news sources:

Common Dreams
Countercurrents
Counterpunch
Electronic Intifada
Green Left Weekly
Information Clearing House
Indymedia
Le Monde Diplomatique
Links
The Militant
Mother Jones
New Internationalist
Socialist Worker
Upside Down World
Venezuelanalysis
World Socialist Web Site

Also, I recommend these famous progressive journalists who maintain websites which show their articles:

Noam Chomsky
Michael Parenti
John Pilger
Howard Zinn

The true meaning of life for an "Unconscious Human".

- 1. (only one) Gold,.. meaning,..
...money, wealth, fame, and how much, the,..
"Other Person" ,...." thinks " ... you have.
...and all aspects of life, related to Gold.
You wake up in the morning, and all thoughts come from,
.. "Gold"
- your reality is derived from those thoughts... and,..
- restricted thinking, in all ways,
(Religion, Physics, Education)... peer pressure

eg. I think, that I want ot think of time travel.. to "other person"

..."other person" (all unconscious people)

- Scott is delusional,.. because, that is impossible.

.. "Einstein" or whoever said it was impossible.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

- The true meaning of life, to a "Fully Conscious" human.

... Think Really Deep.

- 1. Nothing.. Blank, .. your brain, has slowed to 0.01 Hz.

.. anyways, gold is real and solid. people have beeen hording it since

... the bbeginning, whenever that was...

- My question is..

- Where is all that gold, there must be a whole lot,

a really whole friekin whack of it somewhere... No?

... we've been storing it somewhere, from the begiining of time,..

- its solid, real,.. doesn't evaporate, or dissappear.

.. there must be millions, and millions, of tons of gold somewhere.. No?

- Where is all the Gold ?,... Where.?

- Where is all the Gold ?,... that all these unconscious people, have had

their lives run by, all this time, from the beginning.

..Think about this,..

- How much is gold worth, if there are no banks, or stores.

.. if you were here, even,.. say, North American Indians... time.

- I 'm starving,.. theres no food,.. I have 10 zillion tons of gold.

.. some other guy has 10 zillion tons of food.

- What is worth more to me at that time,.. gold,.. or food.

Thank you Gregory, speaking from the other side of the world, people especially in the so-called third world were always puzzled on why does the united states goverment and much of the public support israeli's oppression of the palestenian people, we see pictures of cold blooded killing of women and children every day, yet the united states is very much pro-israel, all of this and the like produced much hatred and ati-american feelings (i don't support that), but now many of us came to understand why: the israeli lobby, media ....etc
thanks again

I know none of you want to consider this, but there is an awful lot of propaganda on the side of the "Palestinians" and against Israel. The fact is that most of the so called Palestinians came from surrounding countries. They are being used to spread the hatred of Israel. The motive for this is that the fanatic Muslims cannot tolerate the existence of a country in the Middle East that is not run by Muslims. They have spread their propaganda to make sure that Muslims who are not fanatics and others turn against Israel as well. Another fact is that the Israeli people have had to endure constant terrorist attacks from so called Palestinians on a daily basis for so many years. They have had terrorists attack school buses filled with Israeli children. They could just go to an ordinary restaurant or a movie theater and be killed by a terrorist. Just imagine how we would feel if we had to live like that for decades. The suicide bombers have been brainwashed and they are praised in most of those Muslim countries. Their media only shows one side of the story but I guess you don't think that is propaganda. I do.

I have focussed on this issue for years, watching news and current affairs that is both anti-Palestine, and pro-Palestine, and discussing the issues with people who are both anti-Palestine an pro-Palestine, but I have actually never heard that before. Do you have any evidence for that claim, or is it baseless slander?

The fact is that most Palestinians were born in Palestine, or are the children or grandchildren of refugees who were born in Palestine.

Why would anyone hate Israel?

It is a colony, and most of its people came from outside the Middle East during the 20th century (mainly from Europe and the U.S.A.)... and this colony, just like all colonies, was (and still is) imposed upon the people of the Middle East by military force.

Since the Israeli colony was founded in the 1940s, the Indigenous people of Palestine and the Middle East have fought to end that colonisation. In that conflict, those who fought against Israeli colonisation have killed about 7,000 people, while Israel has killed 10x as many people - around 70,000 people.

Israel has attacked its neighbours numerous times, including killing huge numbers of civilians in Lebanon in the last few years.

Israel has used military force to expand from its 1940s U.N.-approved borders to take over much more land. Those 1940s borders were agreed on by the U.N. when much of the world (e.g. Africa and South East Asia) was still colonised by first world nations, so very few of the countries that exist today approved of the founding of Israel at all. And even in the 1940s the founding of that colony was opposed by many people. These days almost every country in the world condemns Israeli actions in many U.N. votes - but the world's only superpower - the U.S.A. - supports Israel, so governments are very reluctant to take any actions based on those U.N. votes.

Israel supplied arms to apartheid South Africa, and was one of the strongest supporters of apartheid South Africa.

During Israel's colonial conflicts with the people of the Middle East, something like a million people fled from their homes, farms and businesses in what was once called "Palestine", but is now called "Palestine" and "Israel". As the colony of Israel's population has risen, so have the population of those refugees. They now number several million. And although decades have passed, Israel still refuses to allow those refugees to return to their homes, farms and businesses - and won't even allow them to return to their homeland at all.

In fact, the Israeli government has allowed Israeli citizens to take over those homes, farms and businesses while those refugees have been away and not allowed to return.

On top of that, Israel maintains a brutal and punitive military occupation of most of what little land they still haven't officially stolen from Palestine ("the West Bank"). And they control the air and sea coast of the other remaining part of Palestine - "Gaza", thus enabling them to siege the people of Gaza, and deny the sovereignty of the people of Gaza.

On top of that, Israel has many illegal settlements on Palestinian people's land INSIDE the West Bank, which are defended by the armed Jewish religious fanatics who settledthere, and also defended by the Israeli military.

And every year, Israel continues to attack Palestinian people inside the West Bank, missile or bulldoze their homes and orchards, and allow Jewish religious fanatics to found yet more settlements inside the West Bank on that new stolen land.

Etc., etc.. You don't think people have reasonable justifications for hating Israel?

By the way, hating Israel is not the same as hating Jews. Some people confuse Israel with Jews. However, let it be known: hatred for Israel is not the same as hatred for Jews. Israel is a colony, a mass-murdering nation-state. Jews are simply people who have a certain religion and/or ethnicity.

The issue is much like that of white people colonising Africa. South Africa, and many other colonies treated the Indigenous people terribly, and so people hated those colonies. However, to hate and end THOSE COLONIES does not mean to hate and end WHITE PEOPLE. When we think rationally, we distinguish between colonies and the ethnicity of those who make those colonies.

Also, similarly to the discussion of Palestine and Israel: we humans all came from Africa originally. But that does not give people the right to colonise Africa. In a similar way, just because Jewish people have ancestors from Palestine/Israel, that does not justify them colonising it.

Israel's abuses are made possible by U.S. support, and Israel's powerful military, the 5th most powerful in the world, and the most powerful of any Middle Eastern country, with the most powerful airforce of any Middle Eastern country - an airforce which is more powerful than any NATO country in Europe, including the airforce of the U.K.!

How did the Israeli military come to be so powerful? Decades of U.S. military aid. Currently that aid is U.S.$3 billion to U.S.$4 billion each year.

I ask that U.S. people stop giving that aid to the Israeli military to continue its atrocities. Maybe then Israel will be forced to finally pull out of the West Bank, and finally negotiate fairly, after all these decades. And at the very least, the people of the U.S.A. would not have more blood on their hands, and people who currently hate the U.S.A. for its support of Israel will come to hate the U.S.A. less. ; )

Esther S. (45)
Monday May 12, 2008, 5:56 am
Simon, you just keep stating the same things that the anti-Israeli propagandists have been stating for years. I happen to be an older person. I can recall that so much of the land that was given to Israel was worthless dessert land. There was no regular homes etc. in that large part of land. Nomads would sometimes go through it and put up a tent temporarily and then move on. I recall that it took a lot of work on the part of the Israelis to make that land livable. The Israelis got support of many Americans which included trees.I also remember reading that many of the surrounding Muslim nations were actually forcing the people called Palestinians to leave their countries and go to that land. Now the propaganda is that the Israelis took away the nice homes with the picket fences from the Palestinians. That is baloney.
I also recall that Israel was attacked by many of those Muslim countries. It does not matter how many people were lost by each side. The thing that matters is who started the wars. I also recall reading of the terrorist acts against the Israelis including their children on a daily basis. The families of the suicide bombers were rewarded for what they did.
You also have a lot of negative things to state about the Israelis and most if not all of those things are probably not true or distorted or taken out of context. You don't mention that when the Bosnia government was slaughtering moderate Muslims Israel spoke up against that. The reason why they did so is that they knew that those Muslims were not fanatic and had not been committing acts of terrorism against the Christians in that area and so it was wrong and they said so.

I agree with Esther...and I agree with Simon. But I think this debate is sterile now. The question is not who is right who is wrong, becasue for all Esther's arguments, Jewish are right and they truly, honestly believe so. For all Simon's arguments, Palestinians are right, and they truly honestly believe so. The real question that really matter now is: NOW THEY ARE ALL THERE, WHAT DO WE DO?
The past will not give right or wrong to any of the opponent. It's time to stop arguing over a past that will NOT come back. There will not be the Great Israel. There will not be the entire land back to the Palestinians. It's time to try something different. I dont know, like...peace?

Good point Cristele. Israel must make true peace with the Palestinians. In my opinion, this whole Israel thing with America willing to blow up anyone who attacks them, has something much more ancient and geographical.., about it. So many theories circulating for years on this union. The Palestinians deserve a place to call home, and start to heal while building their own future. I could be wrong, but I join others who believe that it is a certain geographic area that both demand ownership. Something very unique or special about this specific area, I guess. America seems to know about it. I have nothing against Israel, it is a beautiful country..., but I sense a bad feelings of why we have been married to Israel for so many years. I hope I am wrong. It just seems like America will bomb anyone who fully attacks Israel, but they won't help them attain peace with the Palestinians, who need medical care, food, and more.
