A short but interesting video. Seems to fit into a brand new year.

I came across this video on YouTube, never seen it before. I agree with most of it, not all of it. It seemed to fit into the start of a new year, 2013.

To me it's poignant. The only thing I would have told the originator of this video is you have to watch out when you TELL other people 'what is going on' or 'all about something'. Each person has to come to their own conclusion and decision through their own observation. That is the only way to not have sheeple or stupid people in a society, individually or collectively.

Enjoy!

I appreciate each time someone has the courage to submit an article or a video that challenges the status quo. The fourth estate or the media was designed for the purpose of being an additional check and balance on the government, not a talking head of propaganda. Yet, this is what we have. Filtered and sanitized news, we are told only what THEY want us to know, information that will soothe, calm or often generate fear and confusion. We turn on each other, not the forces that have created the problems and despair. There is truth out there, but it does require time and searching for actual answers, sometimes actual naked truth is difficult to consume, there is a deep conflict between years of indoctrination and facing the hard ugly truth.
Kudos to you Kenneth - excellent video that I hope makes many stop, look and listen. Question everything.

You said it Kit.
If I had one wish it would be for individuals to not simply take as true what someone else simply says is true. That's the road to a land of truly stupid people. It makes people into basically hypnotized subjects walking around simply regurgitating what they have been told or what they have heard as being true yet without having inspected it for themselves. And this includes being told by an 'authority' or 'expert' about something. It's easy, it's lazy, and it's rampant in society. Each person needs to think more highly of their intelligence and abilities. Why denigrate yourself? (denigrate: to treat or represent as lacking in value or importance; belittle; disparage):

Thanks for sharing this Kenneth..and what a sorry but true state we are in that we do indeed have to "question everything", as Kit so aptly commented.

An inspiring video Kenneth, the sky is the limit as they say, to bad the limited powers that be want to keep us grounded, or 6 feet under. We must always remember that we were all created equal and that our minds and hearts are the key to infinite knowledge and wisdom. The rulers of our planet are blinded by money and power, but the real power is within the people whom elect them.

So true, it's like the Matrix....the key is : meditation, be yourself, find yourself thru meditation. It's very strong, better than any weapon.....don't believe in some cult, believe your soul. One of the reasons the Dalai Lama is so great, because he meditates, and he believes : we are One, we are all connected, we need our spirit to be well, to be able to love All living beings, to be compassionate.....I could go on, but there's no space, LOL.

My mom would tell me to stop thinking so much. In her own way, she reminded me that I did think...alot and often!!! Always been a rebel with many causes. Started in my teens and made choices to be surrounded by thinkers! Setting examples and reminding all to think for themselves cannot be a bad thing!!! Thanx Kenneth. I love sheep but would not like to be in the "wrong" herd.

Excellent video - but I disagree with one sentence 'There is no good or bad, only perception' - really?! Try that sentence out on someone who has been raped or tortured or otherwise suffered greatly and you may just find that they disagree with you! Otherwise very good -we are individuals and should question everything - we were given brains and should not end up at the end of our lives with our brains 'new, unused and in the original wrapping' (!).

Top drawer Kenneth. I have posted this on my Facebook page. These are thoughts well worth pondering as we set out on a new year.
I do agree with Pat in that good and bad represent reality. We just need to interpret for ourselves the good and bad. My perception is that the current form of governance is bad as is of course the violence that occurs in our society.

Yup I agree with you two about good and bad. It's even a type of current philosophy (Psychology?) that has a name for it. Maybe in the abstract it's true but in the practical, hardly. The idea that' just because you think something is bad, I might not etc. All you have to do is say fine, you won't mind if I lift your wallet then because 'just because you might think it's bad, I might not---and I don't' so now you're out $20 and you can't say anything about it using your philosophy--- see how they like it then. The thing with philosophy is that it has to be workable all round, by any and everyone, not just for someone's advantage over another.

Thank you for this excellent, thought provoking video, Kenneth. So many people listen to the media about a story that is changing by the minute....change channels and you get a different perspective of the same story by a different reporter. Talk to someone about it and you get their idea of what the story is about and by the end of the day you've got a whole other story. Sad to say, you believe it and then argue with another person who thinks you're wrong because you listened to a different reporter spouting rhetoric on his/her take on the story. I choose to look further and investigate on my own to find the truth in a story. Think for yourself is my motto and then I hope I nail it!

I am most thankful to my Mother and Father, both free thinkers, who raised me to experience things 1st hand and to think for myself. I have never forgotten who I am, and it has been my good fortune. As I am blessed, I keep passing it on. And thanks to you Kenneth for doing the same right here on care2...3 cheers!
