Thanks for making this atrocity more visible. With billions being spent on the military, and nuclear bombs, war etc., a little thoughtfulness and compassion like this is desperately needed. Such a shame our war mongers could care less.

Lauren, I made comment but it doesn't appear to have come up so I will do it again. I said, Thanks for posting this desperately visibility needed on such an insidious atrocity. That it is such a shame the war mongers can't see this while they spend billions on wars and killing for the all mighty dollar.

Gotcha, 2 times, Robert.
I do find it tragic to say the least that in so many cases, where our military could be put to good use, as in a humanitarian effort to save those unable to defend themselves, primarly women, children and the elderly, that they choose to turn a blind eye.
It seems that war for 'profit' is the goal. Not offering aid or assistance where and when it is so desperately needed.
As in the case of Darfur, this genocide campaign has been going on in the Sudan for 17, yes SEVENTEEN years, yet only NOW, with much public pressure is the US gov starting to make some tiny efforts to assist.

Thank you for noting that someone is doing something to make the tragedy in Darfur more noticeable. I just watched Hotel Rwanda and all I could think of was that this was happening now despite the knowledge we have of it. Thank you again.
