I am the face of what so many people out there call the Moderate. I am neither Liberal, nor Conservative. What I am, and darn proud of it, is an American. Maybe our government has tarnished what that once meant, but I will be darned if I ever allow the actions of Politicians to destroy a nation that should be leading the way to a new era, not attacking nations for oil and profit. Not a government that uses it's military as pawns in it's sick and twisted game of Risk.
I for one am still darn proud of the Red White and Blue, even with a black eye and most of our own hating each other. No, I still believe that we have a few gasps of air left with which to do some good. I don't want either party or any social group to be left out, nor do I believe that the Haves have the right to exclude the have not persons from having a voice.
I am cynical, pessimistic, and stubborn, but one thing I am not, and I mean not at all-is afraid of speaking my mind when I see corruption and lies being shoved down the throats of my fellow Americans. We live on this planet with billions of others, so if we want to change the World, let us first start by changing our own nation first.
Then, and only then, can we show, not force, others to see what a democracy is. If they want it, fine, if not, then by all means, leave other nations in peace to fall or rise as their destinies dictate.
