Thank you Jytte. Women are badly treated in many male dominated society's treated like a possession, beaten ,raped, forced in to prostitution, made to work in poor conditions. My heart goes out to my sisters around the world who live a life of inequality and I hope and pray that this will create real change for women and girls that need it. Thank you to Tippers for the forward.

Thank You Jytte* Great Job ** noted & forwarded..

“We hope soon to have a dynamic entity for gender equality and women’s empowerment within the U.N. system, that would provide more coherent programming and a stronger voice for women.”

Thank you Jytte for an informative article, and Tippers for sending it to me. It seems as though we can fight until doomsday and women will always be considered as second-class citizens. Yes, we've come a long way Baby. But we haven't progressed far enough. Even the UN can't really agree that we are equal.

Why is it so difficult for humans to give up the need to control...whether it is dominance over the earth, wildlife or fellow humans? Our Creator is the only entity with the "right" to control and chooses to allow "free choice"? A lesson of "ultimate wisdom."

Thank you very much for your comments and for noting. I warmly appreciate your interest in the women's cause. Thank you for the important link Ellen. Today my internet is not working well (I live in Mozambique) but it is a very important petition to sign. I find it essential that we all work for ending all types of domination. As I perceive it women, poor people, colored people, animals, and nature at large are all part of the same feminine category (yin), which patriarchy (yang) is dominating for individual economic profit making. Therefore let us all, men and women, rich and poor, white and colored alike work hard against any form of domination and exploitation. My forth-coming book "Ecofeminism: Towards Integrating the Concerns of Women, Poor People, and Nature into Development" explains in details how this painful patriarchal domination works. I will inform you all when it is available, perhaps you can get your local library to take it home for your reading. Thank you again for your care.
