For optimum nutritional benefits, broccoli is best eaten raw, or alternatively, use rapid cooking methods such as steaming or stir-frying.

I love to eat the tree tops, they're my favorite part of the broccoli! I like to add butter and salt to it, also. My Mom saw a recipe once in a Ladies Home Journal by Pat Nixon; you take rice, chicken and broccoli, 1 can of Campbell's Mushroom Soup and pour over the top layered with cheese slices preheat oven between 325 and 350, depending on your location. Cooks for 15-25 minutes, or until mixture starts to bubble around the edges of the pyrex deep dish, can't remember the exact dimensions. Mom loved to impress company by telling them she got the recipe from Pat Nixon!! LOL

Thanks Adrian, yummily noted!

Broccoli is my favorite veggie and according to a chef instructor I know, the best way to retain nutrients in broccoli and other vegetables is to microwave them- who da thunk?! Like Serge, I eat alot of raw broccoli, but I love the beautiful green it gets from being steamed. Thx for the story.

Noted. Broccoli is an excellent food to regularly have in your diet. For some reason, it has been plentiful recently in our local grocery stores. Thank you for the story, Adrian.

Broccoli is fab. I always steam it and eat it with just a sprinkle of sea salt. :)I think steaming is the best method for preparing broccoli.

Thanks Adrian. I like broccoli. A little of it steamed on top of a baked
potato taste great! I also like it raw with some cream cheese and I like
a good broccoli cheese soup on a cold winter's day.
