Bromelain in pineapple aids and promotes digestion due to its protein digesting capabilities, and may relieve symptoms of stomach upset or heartburn.

I love pineapples!! My Mom made a simple pineapple salad where she'd take canned pineapple rings or chunks, dollop of mayo and shredded cheese and serve it to my family as a dessert. Of course she'd tried to serve us fresh pineapple from our locoal grocery store and they were always so sweet and juicy! Of course they came from Hawaii so on my Mom and Dad's first trip to Hawaii Mom said if she couldn't bring "Magnum P.I." back to me she'd bring me a pineapple! LOL Well, we were excited about eating a pineapple from Hawaii and when they came back she set the pineapple on the kitchen table for a few days so it could ripen. When we finally had a chance to sample it, it was sour! I'll never forget the faces we made. She had brought another one also, and again, we made sour-puss faces!

"I don't understand. We go to Hawaii and bring back pineapples and they're NOT SWEET!"

"You should've brought back Magnum, Mom. He's a lot sweeter." I laughed.

She just shook her head...

TY Adrian, noted with happy memories =)

Thanks Adrian. I love pineapple and just ate some crushed pineapple
over some wild rice and peas. I enjoy it plain and mixed with other
foods.
