So this week's news is not really final; it's prophylactic. It is the least-risky strategy to protect Armstrong's remaining assets--and, to a lesser degree, his legacy. Armstrong gets to exit tarnished, but unbowed

Wasn't there testing before? If not, then why worry about it? These knuckleheads need to get out there and put their butts on a tiny bike seat and see how far they can go!

If you are not guilty, you do not give up. Only those with guilt don't challenge charges. Sad end.

allan--would you fight for DECADES when it has been PROVEN MULTIPLE times that you are innocent? sometimes it is ok to say no to a bully and just fade away.

Lance Armstrong has been tested for performance enhancing drugs and most test results came back negative or inconclusive. The USADA has been out to get him for quite awhile. After all, how can any cyclist be that good? Choosing not to fight is not an admission of guilt. At some point, a person has to decide that he's got better/more important things to do than to keep beating his head against a brick wall.

I agree with Armstrong "F off" He's already proven he didn't take dope. Period, The end. I think the lawyers, etc just want to cash in on this. Good for Lance Armstrong by saying Enough is Enough, take your medals and stick them!

This is ridiculous. First because bike racres ARE tested often and regularly. Second--he had RECURRING LATE STAGE METASTATIC TESTICULAR CANBCER. You don't play with hormones, steroids or other substances without a real risk of returning or even new cancers. Unless you are incredibly stupid, and he's struck me as stupid.
