Tell Your Representative to Force an Up-or-Down Vote for Fair Taxes!

If Congress does not act, tax cuts affecting pretty much everyone will expire in January. The Senate has passed legislation to extend the tax cuts for the bottom 98 percent – including the tax credits for low-income working families – while letting the tax cuts for the top 2 percent expire. But the House leadership has refused to bring this bill to a vote. They can be forced to do so if 218 Representatives sign a “discharge petition.” Please send this email to your Representative, so they know you’re tired of waiting for them to do the right thing.

Thanks JL, I send emails to my weasel rep on a fairly consistent basis, not that he reads any of them personally but I hope at least some of the content of my messages reach him through his aides but he was reelected on a pretty slim margin against a challenger that really didn't do much in the way of campaigning so I think he knows he's on pretty thin ice. Thank you for the opportunity to let him know my feelings on this extremely important issue.
