The former president of the NRA needs to take a step back and just accept that she really is not Rosa Parks. At all.

If You Compare Slavery To This, You Might Want To Take A Step Back And Reconsider Your Life Choices

The former president of the NRA needs to take a step back and just accept that she really is not Rosa Parks. At all.

Adam Mordecai

At :25, she makes up some stuff. At 1:29, she tries to scare her listeners some more by suggesting that the government will oppress everyone and take ALL their guns (as though an assault weapon can protect you from the largest military defense system in the world 10 times over. Also, she's basically insinuating that our nation's men and women in uniform are all potential traitors, but I digress.) And at 2:47, she compares the struggle to obtain equal rights for African-Americans back in the day to the plight of modern gun owners having their access to AR-15s slightly altered. Man, I wish I was making that up. But I'm not.

ORIGINAL: By Media Matters. Found on TPM TV.

I just saw this movie last evening. Many in the movie did a fine job of showing the hell of slavery for what it was. The lead character was not up to image of a slave but it was entertainment not an historical documentary.

That Upworthy video is bit hard on the ears. These people are actually hoping to create a dystopian society or maybe even the rise of Hitler by using just a bit of common sense when addressing the gun issue. No one is talking about taking all guns, though at times I ponder that. What is being addressed is simply some much needed controls on who gets a gun. I don't think that demanding a driver be licensed to use a car has destroyed our society but, then there is no big money lobby about drivers and their license. Fear, and propaganda are in full tilt crazy and I assume that will be true for a while.

What do they plan to do with all of these guns? Fight the US military? I know....that's what they hope for.

Sorry about the sound quality on this video Kit--I hope you were able to adjust your speakers enough to protect your hearing. You make excellent points, as usual. You cannot currently send a star to Kit because you have done so within the last week.

YES A BIT HARD ON THE EARS, BUT SERVES ITS PURPOSE.
gun controls are going to be hard, and difficult to know who is balanced enough to be in possion of one, i just hope that the balance will be right, and safe for the people.

It's good to know just how dumb the opponent is. It would be fun if they weren't so dangerous. I am not afraid of them or their guns but other people have children they want to see live long enough to be adults.

Any militia would be squashed outright within weeks. Unless you are the military; the National Guard or the police; you don't need an automatic weapon.

Just posted this - http://www.care2.com/news/member/101612212/3513298 - and in the first comment addressed the "means of revolution" thing. As all of you are saying, guns are not it. I would welcome a discussion of what is.
