January 18 marks the first anniversary of the massive protests against the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA)--protests that lead to the defeat of two ill-conceived bills and demonstrated the remarkable strength of the internet movement.

Access, along with many other organizations, is honoring this anniversary by bringing together internet users to remind the world that we will continue to protect the internetís openness and security.

We've set up a way for you to remind Congress that our powerful movement is here to stay.

You can use the form below to send a letter to influential members of House and Senate Judiciary Committees, to make sure that they don't forget that we can and will mobilize to defend the internet from threatening legislation.

The list of these influential elected representatives is long--but you can scroll right to the bottom to sign your name and tell them what you think. If you want to edit or add your own personal message, we've included some suggestions below!

Happy #InternetFreedomDay!
Send an email - it'll only take a moment

I can't help thinking of those poor office workers, having to look through email after email that all say basically the same thing . . . then multiply that by the number of names on that email list . . . BWA HA HA HA HA!

Oh, I'm so not nice sometimes.

There needs to be a balance. The artist needs to be paid for their labor. The question is how? Yes everyone likes "free". But in the end we all pay for it in one way or another.

People need to remain vigilant about potential changes to the internet that are being debated unknown to the rest of us. I'm glad there are people out there who try to keep us informed about these things.

Didn't sign or send any e-mail. American members of Congress will hardly be influenced by mail from foreigners.
