Who would have thought traveling to outer space could be such a profound experience? OK, probably everybody, but these former astronauts really articulate it in a way that was just a little mind-blowing.

Awesome, thanks JL. It's not "like Earth is a living organism"....it's Earth IS a living organism....and we ARE all one. Why haven't these astronauts made a bigger impact on the politics of taking of Earth? Everyone needs to grasp the "overview" before it's too late.

Very neat, very cool! Beautiful little orb, ball. More people should see the photos and film of earth from space as it does give them a bigger picture of things. Takes one out of themselves. It's always been hard for humans to see the bigger picture when they are IN the smaller picture (daily life and problems in their own lives as opposed to all species and all mankind and all the planet etc.
Thanks Judi.

Olivia and Dave said it so well. More of us, but above all the leaders of this world need to go up there and get their mind maps right! Thx for this awesome share!

Angelika, do you think that is why Iraq's leader proposed to do that? You cannot currently send a star to Angelika because you have done so within the last week.

Our beautiful, dynamic, living planet ... if only politicians understood. "We are stardust". I can't imagine how amazing it must be to be an astronaut and see the planet from space.

They should splash these images of earth from space on a big IMAX screen, so that it fills our whole field of vision; then maybe more people would get the overview.

I come from a culture that knew that the earth was a living thing, that changed, and had ways to bring itself back into balance; and that all creatures were part of its system, even though we damaged it sometimes .
