I was certain both of my so-called representatives had voted Nay, but was happy to find that one of them (Alexander) voted Aye.

Thanks, Judi.

Thanks J.L. for the posting the link...lol...I didn't have to check as I knew how my Rep was going to vote but I did an sure enough Rep Bill Johnson (R) voted nay along with the other 137 male Republicans that voted nay. Have composed and email to Rep. Johnson which will go out tomorrow along with a phone call to his local office Monday morning telling them of my extreme disappointment regarding his vote. Read and noted.

You are welcome John. Sorry your Rep didn't break ranks to represent female constituents on this vote. Kudos for your intended follow-up actions! We all could do well to follow your example. You cannot currently send a star to John because you have done so within the last day.

I was surprised that my conservative republican chose not to vote on this. I know he was upset by the inclusion of other than women in the bill. We'll be contacting him.

Republicans deny there is a war --on women. Well....look at the votes here.

Noted. Both NY Senators voted yea (very proud of our Senators for many reasons), and Congressman Reed didn't vote for some reason. I think it's because he wanted to vote for it but didn't want to oppose his party's shameful discouragement of the bill. Thanks J.L.

I see Boehner was too cowardly to vote either way. Would someone please raise enough money to cast Boehner and Cantor onto the scrap pile of history along with the other traitors?

Checking back I found that worthless waste of protoplasm Darrel Issa actually voted in favor of it. Does anyone remember him ever doing the honorable thing before?

Neither of my senators are listed as for or against or abstaining

That does not please me.

I have sent messages to each of them and phoned each. Couldn't reach McCain.
Maybe in the morning , oops it is morning 2:01 a.m. I'm a good kid. lol

Or maybe when he comes back after having run away from his responsibilities,

Yes, he will have to face the music from many, many voters.

I shall remember to be courteous. lol

Thank you, J.L.for setting me straight on this.

My Representative was a good guy. He voted the way he should....for women! I should phone and tell him I'm proud of him..

I'm 70 and have spent my years ignoring, even scorning, what goes on in this Physical Universe, I used to call it Pee EW! So that means I have a lot to learn. I'm glad you emailed me. I do stay in constant touch with my Senators and Representatives and I'm VERY active on Care 2. Now that I'm retired Care2 is my full time volunteer "job" and I do lots of overtime. I'm into my 5th year with Care2, Never mind what my page says. There were a lot of tech problems with my account.

Into five years and I still have so much to learn!

I think I'd better go call my Representative and give him praise and encouragement. That I've learned, if they're bad, slap their hands. If they're good feed them cookies. lol

Again, I thank you.
