I don't think it's funny that McDonald's "employee budgeting" website suggests that workers can live without heat and need to get a second job. But to watch Colbert nail them to the wall in the way only he can while making me laugh -- priceless!

Sometimes the satire is almost painful. Stephen hit this one out of the park. Bill O'Rielly seems to be on a mission to prove he is full of nothing more than bags of Hot Air. Love that budget, all you need is two jobs, no heating and the impossible $600 apartment.

Very similar to living on Social Security. Who needs heat in Minnesota?

Good point Terry and no one pays more than $20 per month for Medicare or other health insurance, right? You cannot currently send a star to Terry because you have done so within the last day.

if I had to compare my SoSoSecurity check x's a 40 hr. work week, it would amount to $5.25 an hour.

Well Marianne, those who are on Social Security are not suppose to live either. Ask Washington DC who is now trying to take away some of the monies with the CHIP and decreasing the Food Stamp and Fuel Assistance also.

This budget only shows the fact that people can't live on minimum wage. Is why women stay with abusive men and adult children remain living at home with their parents and can't afford to get married.
