Alana Karsch I have to admit, this is a difficult topic. It's embarrassing to describe and shocking to think about. But, really, if I want to help make it less awkward and shameful, I gotta be willing to pipe up and say something about it. And so...

I had not heard of fistula before, It is very sad and heartbreaking. I guess we don't know how lucky we are. But I don't understand why they would let a woman stay in labor for 5 days to begin with. I am going to check this out further and make a donation to this devastating condition heaven help them

I had never heard of this Sounds like the women in these places need educating as to what it is and that they can be healed Also so much money is given in many countries for overseas aid How about some of this money helping these women through pregnancy and beyond

First time I've heard of it. I wonder that the UN and the "developed" countries don't do more to protect women's reproductive health the world over. I wonder that our our Congress is not on board. Well, actually I don't wonder about that part, I know, they don't give a fig about women or women's issues other than to try to roll them back to the days when there were none, or none that would ever be talked about in public. This is still a Mad World. Moved me to donate. I hope it does more.
