The wisest course of action with fissile and fossil fuel is...nothing. Let the fuel lie in the ground for future generations. Let our coal, nuclear, gas and petroleum lie where they are. Who knows if millennia from now we might need them.

We can easily get our energy elsewhere if we put our minds to it. We have enough wind, sunlight, geothermal and tidal energies to supply our needs.
