She doesn't look like the same mare - I am just overwhelmed with tears....so happy to see her doing so well. Last I heard her abuser is due on court this Monday (July 7th)

Animals have a sense about them and this poor horse KNEW this creep was an abuser, the reason she wouldn't get into the trailer. I hope that karma is kicking him in his arse every minute of the day....WHY is this guy still walking free?????????

if this SOB isn't brought to justice soon i'll never believe in justice or humans again. every time i think of her it just brakes my heart
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. As you know I am new so I am not current with alot of abuse going on. I cried like a baby while watching this just now. When I was little and even now one of my dreams was to own a horse. So far, I haven't even gotten to ride one. This man gets to own one and he tortures the poor thing! How dare he! I'm sickened by the indifference toward animals that alot of people have. I'm so sorry for that poor horse but she seems so happy now which makes me happy. :)
Please keep me informed of what happens to the man that did this to her. In my opinion, animals should have the same rights as humans and if you hurt an animal like that you should go to jail just as if you hurt a human! Thanx so much for letting me know about this. Everyone have a great 4th of July! :)

Thanks Echo for the update. I'm pleased that Naysa has healed remarkably well.... and very thankful that she has learned to trust the helping hands reaching out to her. Gosh, she was even loaded on trailer near the end of this video.
The begining was very upsetting seeing Naysa suffering. I hope the terrible act of blatant cruelty against this beautiful horse is prosecuted and he'd better be found guilty. He might have reason to move out of the state if he walks free. I'll watch Pet-Abuse.com for updates.

I have suffered awful abuse just as this horse has, and like her i survived and am recovering...so this story really touched my heart and the tears wouldnt stop , i am so happy that she looks so good now, her abuser needs flogging and then shooting ...ty for this story , started my day off sad but also happy ty jolee and echo

Oh Naysa! This beautiful girl. I am so happy to see her looking so good now and getting the love she deserves. Its hard to believe it was a whole year now. This video made me cry for her all over again.

Chelsea, just some background. It was last year at this time, this story came out, she was still in bad shape, I believe it was Brenda who finally got the prosecutor to tell us this monsters name (many of us called too and there was a public outcry) Finally Brenda got his name - Tony Meyers. Come to find out he bought her at an auction for like $37 and was going to sell her to a KB (Killer Buyer aka Slaughter Middle Man for $100.
She is truly magnificent now, thanks to Habitat for Horses and the lady who cared for her.

Naysa looks wonderful!! I can barely type right now so if words are spelled wrong excuse me for that...I have been following this story from the first time I got the petition to convict the monster that did this, and though he has not been convicted yet, I believe we have won an even bigger victory by Naysa surviving and showing him that she was a fighter and maybe if he would have treated her a little better she would have gotten in that trailer!!!

Wow! What a recovery for beautiful Naysa! Such a beauty! The video is so powerful in showing the cruelty of humans and of the spirit of animals! I am in tears watching it and filled with happiness at the ending! Thank you everyone for helping her and also the organizations that so tenderly nursed her back to health!

Such an amazing recovery for this horse. My heart broke when I first saw this. I couldn't believe she lived through all of that. What a strong will to live. She is soooooo beautiful now. You can see how happy she is. Hats off to all he saved her and made her what she is today. I want the scumbag who did this to suffer dearly. Do horses have 9 lives? This is a most beautiful story of such a strong willed animal that wanted to live so badly, that she endured such pain & torture to her poor body, but she showed us all just how brave she is. She is full of courage with the will to live and did it! Just look how beautiful this baby is, I am so proud of her, she is just a blessing from God!

OMG.....it just *BOGGLES* my mind what some people can do to animals! First time I have heard about this. What an amazing animal! Thank god for people like the ones at Habitat for Horses and what they do! The man responsible for this should....have barb wire placed around his neck, drug behind a truck, shot in the face and left for dead! He needs the same treatment he gave this poor mare! What are some people thinking! I am so glad to see the mare recovering and doing so well.

I too remember this story and the fight for justice....I believe Brenda went all out to find out information on this horse........it does my heart good to know that she is being taken care of and loved and looks so much better. I am sure the inner scars will remain forever though. Thank you Echo for sending this on.......and I pray that this monster gets the much needed justice he so rightly deserves.
