This is very good to know: "While there is no know side effects of fresh Acai berry, some Acai berry products such as the Acai berry juice may contain guarana. Guarana is an ingredient commonly mixed with carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks and teas in Brazil. It is rich in caffeine and contains amount of caffeine that is five times more than in coffee. Guarana may cause insomnia, trembling, anxiety, palpitations, urinary frequency, and hyperactivity. Guarana should be avoided during pregnancy and lactation. People with cardiac problems or high blood pressure should also avoid the use of guarana."

Probably not as significant for healthy adults when using the natural product, but more significant for use in children or when Acai is mixed with other substances or put into pill form. You always have to question just how healthy the pill form of any product is. Natural is probably the best route, unless you're talking about poison ivy!

Thanks Jim. Natural is best .It's annoying when some producers think they have to " improve"a product with additives.
