A Summit man was found dead at the bottom of a 200-foot ravine last Tuesday afternoon, more than three days after apparently falling to his death. This was a close friend of my son..

"An autopsy on the body of 26-year-old Jeremy Cain was conducted at Albany Medical Hospital and the Sheriff’s office had no toxicology results as of Friday but alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the death, said Sheriff John Bates.
Mr. Cain apparently attended a private party at the Summit Conservation Club Friday evening, the Sheriff said, and he was seen drinking at the party."

Jeremy grew up with my son..They became friends in school and played baseball together throughout T-ball right through High School..There were sleep-overs when they were younger..always hanging out in the same circle of friends..
They remained friends after graduating and stayed close friends.. he grew older.. Jeremy.. had a really bad drinking no one has any doubt that this was indeed alcohol related..

This was very sad news..very sad to hear..I am so sorry for this sad ending to such a young life..and my heart goes out to his family and friends..

Thank you all so much..for notes on this story..and for your kind comments..
Its important to keep awareness on the risks of alcohol abuse..far too many lives are ruined by it..

I just feel so bad for the is such a loss..and it came as such a shock to everyone..My son went to pay his respects to Jeremy's family yesterday..needless to say they are all just heart crushed and broken right now.. son came by here and he just talked his heart out recalling so many good times they had..the great baseball games they played..the laughs..all of it..

Yes..memories and heart-smiles can never be lost or taken away..and that is why we try to gather and collect them..and through them.. yes..those we about are always within our hearts..

(((Many thanks again to all of you)))
