"While asleep, Haley went into cardiac arrest, stopped breathing and never started again, concluded the medical examiner in Ft. Myers, Fla. The examiner found that a thickened artery wall had blocked blood flow to Haley's heart. The odd growth of the artery wall suggested the presence of a disease called FMD, or fibromuscular dysplasia, the examiner concluded."

This is really scary! Just like many other diseases, doctors with women especially tend to blame symptoms on stress, or it is all in your mind. That leads to people not getting proper treatment. Sounds like much more research and awareness needs to be raised about this. I have had migraines since I was 17, and had a heart attack at 40. I have also had high blood pressure that developed about the time the migraines did around 17, and have been taking blood pressure medication ever since. This makes me wonder.... I have had my carotid arteries scanned before... but it does leave me to wonder....Thanks Dee
