When South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford disappeared, his wife hoped he was really hiking on the Appalachian Trail as his staff had claimed. Like the rest of America, she was stunned to find out he had dared to go to Argentina to see his mistress- -

""He was told in no uncertain terms not to see her," Jenny Sanford said in a strong, steady voice as she sat in her oceanfront living room Friday. "I was hoping he was on the Appalachian Trail. But I was not worried about his safety. I was hoping he was doing some real soul searching somewhere and devastated to find out it was Argentina. It's tragic."

In her first extended comments on the affair, Sanford recalled how her husband repeatedly sought permission to visit his lover in the months after she discovered his infidelity."

Why is this in the news? Why can't we just leave these people be? I can't even imagine how hard it must be on both of them to have this out in the public eye. We all need to focus on our own lives

Who really cares who this man slept with or where. Who cares if the wife said to not see the mistress again. It isn't news. It is the personal business of people. It's not news. The man broke no laws, he had a affair and frankly I could care less about it.

Mrs. Sanford took the proper steps regarding her husband's infidelity. She did not cover up his activities or condone or make excuses or blame herself. The blame is entirely on him and he should pay the consequences whatever they may turn out to be.

"To be human is to on occasion, fall flat on your face," Gov. Sanford.

3 different women means that he's fallen flat on his face over and over and over again. Good thing he has those good Christians at the Fellowship telling him that God forgives him all his sins if he is a Republican.
